Tito is great but he's no Winky anymore

I've read quite a few posts from people and there views on Tito and while they are respectful views i strongly disagree with them.

Tito came back after his layoff and fought Mayorga. This fight was catered for him in every single way. Tito was a great fighter before he came back but what better way to make him look even greater by beating up a one dimensional talentless fighter like Mayorga. I was impressed that he stopped Mayorga but not with the choice of opponent. Based on that performance i am still not 100% sure whether the real Tito is definatly back or not because that fight didn't give us the opportunity to see a talented fight from both fighters. On that opinion alone i cannot understand why so many of you think he will KO Winky. Winky is a great fighter who has never been stopped and has one of the most defensive technical styles i have seen in ages. He has everything to give Tito trouble and the only thing Tito can count on in this fight is a KO and it will never happen. Winky isn't dumb and will take no risks against Tito to end up knocked out. Fernando Vargas couldn't put down Winky and he had better boxing skills than Tito and had power to match. Tito had touble with Vargas in the earlier rounds and even got knocked down. I know past fights and line ups cannot be completely compared to try and predict results as boxing is a really unpredictable sport but the facts on paper at this particular time point to Winky. Until Tito fights a good all round fighter instead of a slugger and shows us he has everything still instead of just a heavy punch i don't fully estimate until i see what else he has.

good points and i agree, mayorga is no barometer. As we know though boxing fans love to go overboard either in cricism or over hype, its the nature of the beast.
    winky ud for me.

Winky is a good defensive fighter i just believe that Tito would be too much for him, but it's by no way a blow out. I think his power would reduce winky's punch output so felix could control his (winky) movements more and tito on points or a very late stoppage, winky doesn't hit hard enought to discourage him either, but he could frustrate him for a few rounds.
Remember how often Winky went down against Vasquez.

The only problem with your assertion is that Mayorga was the Third option in Tito's comeback. Tito was scheduled to Fight Mosely, they actually had a an agreement. Winky derailed those plans. Then right after the fight Winky and Tito agreed in principle to a fight. Mosely then excersized his rematch clause, only then did Mayorga become a viable opponent. So don't make it seem as though Mayorga was targeted all along for his comeback.

As a matter of fact, Tito and Delahoya had talks which quickly broke down, but DLH was also in the mix.

what were forgetting is tito looked alot better than
anyone would of imagined possible.he was incredibly
accurate instead of wild like he was against vargas.

mayorga wasnt hard to hit thats true but he still
turned in a masterclass performance thats made
everyone sit up and take notice of tito again

md tito or late ko tito

I still believe Mayorga was setup for Tito all along and i stand by it. There may have been talks for fights but they were for future fights. What better way to make Tito look spectaculer than fighting someone like Mayorga. Thats my opinion and that how i believe it happened. Don King isn't ******, he knew the perfect fight all along.

Tito may have too much for Winky but i wouldnt be shocked if Winky won the fight. One thing straight neither of them beats Hokins.

I dont know how you can tell that Tito is no Winky anymore after watching his last fight? Yes, he did fight Mayorga, butr he beat his ass pretty hard core, the way Tito used to beat peoples asses. Maybe Tito wasnt thoroughly tested in the fight, and I would agree with that, but I dont think you can jusmp to the conclusion that Tito isnt the guy he used to be after that fight especially since it was an outstanding performance. If anything I would be impressed with Tito after that fight, not dissapointed.
