Rematches tend to do very well too.

Lewis v Rahman wasn't a mega fight. No-one thought Rahman was a chance. The rematch was massive - we knew Rahman could hurt Lewis and everything was riding on the outcome.

It leaves question marks if you lose and just stop. Think of Naseem Hamed's standing in the sport.

But given that they already earn plenty of money then I can understand fighters not taking too many chances. An unfortunate outcome of them being paid very well at the top level.
I was so proud of Fulton when he schooled Fig recently having had an ultra close fight with him before

Fulton showed to the boxing world that you aren’t defined by a bad loss

So are there any efforts to resuscitate the US's current abysmal boxing trend to bring it back to how it was before?

It has been that way since Floyd made it clear that was a no no
Unfortunately it’s bullchit but boxers today seem to follow instead of leading
The worst part of this is having all of these so called "Gods of the sport and warriors" fighting the Skulls of the world.

Haney is scared of losing now. He's still got no scheduled fight, while everyone else who fought around the same date as his last is on his 2nd fight since.
