A championship-level fighter subjects himself to deprivation and intense training, the likes of which most people can’t even conceive of, then he’s robbed of his rightful win. And that’s not to speak of the monetary losses to himself and his family. It’s literally a crime. Who wants to see that s hit? Turns everyone off.

good point & the thing is the guys who always benefit are the richest guys in the sport 1!!!!! LOL they just happen to make OTHER people money and thats the DIFFERENCE !!

Boxing is almost a pseudo-sport, not far above pro wrestling. The number of unjust outcomes makes it too much a roll of the dice.

It's the hardest sport. As real as they get. But in any sport where the ascetic part of the scoring is subjective, you will get disagreement. Unjust? That depends of who you're rooting for in the close ones. Still, boxing is far above pro wrestling, and all the kid games that adults get paid to play.

Unjust is a bit strong. It’s subjective. I think we as fans also carry biases into every fight we watch. When the outcome isn’t the one you wanted, fans go right to conspiracies and negativity.

That isn’t saying there is no corruption or terrible robberies because there surely is.

Pretty much so. And not every card in a big boxing event is entertaining. Sometimes, if not most, prelim fights are more action-packed than the main ones. I have no problem with that, but it doesn't prevent me from checking out other sports channels during an ongoing boring fight. That's when you realize not many people in the world are watching boxing like you think. Large crowds gather watching football, cricket, tennis, rugby, basketball, you name it, in and out of your time zone.

I disagree, guys like Jimmy Young & Carl Williams died broke when they should've been millionaires & would've been millionaires if they had been rightfully awarded victories in fights that they won.

Not only is boxing unjust, it's the most unjust sport.

In baseball, basketball, football, etc . . , when you lose, it's just a game, your salary doesn't go up or down based on that.

In boxing, when you lose, your purses don't go up in most instances.

Imagine if Tank doesn't rematch Lamont Roach?

He may never make that much money again.

Honestly, it's shocking that of all refs it was Steve Willis who made the bad call. The dude has been in plenty of good fights and generally on point. I think either the moment caught up to him or the hype around Davis. It kind of happened quickly and he thought what the hell is he doing? He must be legit in some kind of "other" trouble to take a knee. Let me stop counting and see what the deal is. In a way, to think he's making a proper call as if Tank was tripped or headbutted.

Though this was not the case. Any fighter that goes down and takes a knee out of nothing should be ruled a knockdown. Makes it worse that this fight was razor thin and a knockdown ruled in Roach's favor would have won him the decision.

Field sports are better for live crowds I suppose. In fact, That's why Boxing caught on sooner for televised broadcast in the 50s. The action is in a tighter space, easily captured by the camera.

Boxing is not a sport that is seen everyday live on TV unlike other sports. I watch tennis or at least a glimpse of it just to keep myself up to date.
