What is up with these mandatory contenders ducking their shots?
Truth be told, I know that it's that they know Inoue isn't long for the division and they'd rather fight for vacant belts than take on the champ. Let's see if MJ actually wants it. If he pulls out too, I'm done with him as a fan.
I don't know what the F is actually going on because Picasso just said on Instagram that he is fighting Inoue. And team Inoue said they are looking for May 3 date. So then where did May 4 come from. Best thing to do is just wait for official announcement from Inoue.
The common narrative; Everyone is duckin the Monster.
Everyone talks big, but when it comes time to show, they run away.
It must be annoying and exausting for Inoue.
Sadly, the only win he'll prob get credit for at 122 is MJ.
I'm not even sure MJ really wants it.
Wouldn't be surprised if MJ asks for a unrealistic paycheck, and pulls out when he doesn't get it.
Fits his character.
Ultimately, Nakatani maybe his only option.
Or Inoue is forced to move up.
i don't like this at all. naoya's prime ended. he gets old this year. the only relevant fight for him is junto. murodjon, goodman and picasso (mandatories) are important only to keep all the belts for junto fight. every one of them is irrelevant as is cardenas and naoya's last two opponents. it would be ok for me if inoue was young. now he won't fight junto when both are in their prime and then what's the point... there's no need to box at all anymore.
i am very disappointed because this was an atg with opportunities to enhance his resume. fights that would do that are junto, ball , leo and espinoza. all of them are on the same side of the street and i get trash 3 times in a row instead. very disappointing.
Not the fights we might want, but they're still solid fights and at least the champs are getting some work in during a big time of the year in boxing. Hopefully these guys in the lower weight classes can handle business and move onto bigger and better things. Too many good fights to be made down there at 122/126 for them not to happen. As long as Akhmadaliev is next for Inoue, let Inoue have his tune-up and then get down to serious business with Akhmadaliev if he really wants next up. Hopefully, if he gets through Akhamdaliev, we see him and Nakatani after.
