It wasn't even close at all. Even my 11 year old cousin who does not know anything about boxing, was surprised that Dirrell did not win.

That's the problem with boxing, when someone that doesn't know much about boxing can discern the winner but paid professional judges cannot, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of potential fans.

Anyhow, the poll speaks for itself, and I think it takes a bit away from the Super Six. No points for a split decision?

Could have gone either way, but I need to see it again. It ain't hard to make a case for either fighter -- Dirrell outboxed Froch, but I agree with Froch when he said Dirrell fought very negatively and got on his bike for pretty much the entire fight. It's not the way to become a world champion, although you might make an exception for Mayweather.

Awful robbery. This is what turns people off from the sport. I had a group over tonight and non of them are boxing fans. It will be hard to get any of them to watch a fight tonight after that.

On another note. This tourny will be over after the next round. Dirrell, Taylor and Ward will all drop out and fight for titles, there is going to be no money in this for them.

I am european and you could watch this 18042x Dirrel clearly won 8 rounds and you could make an argument for 10. Froch won 2 rounds clear give him all the borderline rounds give him the terrible point deduction Dirrel still clearly won

Also people seem to be forgetting how incredibly dirty Dirrell was fighting and that he had a point deducted for it.

I have no sympathy for Dirrell, he knew if he ran he would have problems with the scoring, his corner men knew it to, yet he did it anyway. Serves him right. If you can't fight like a man you shouldn't be rewarded a mans reward.

Dirrel ran like a ***** all night and didn't want to fight.

It's the aggressor that wins the judges score, afterall it is a fight, I'm sick of this yanks destroying the sport by running away all night. If you don't want to be aggressive go back to amateur boxing.

what are you talkin about? the first 4 rounds both froch and dirrell did nothin but throw a couple jabs to the body and head and both landed about the same ammount, you are makin it seem like dirrell was landing a bunch of punches in each round i think he only would land about 6 punches per round and froch was landin some jabs and some body shots when dirrell would have his back against the rope so most rounds were even bein that both fighters landed only about 4-6 punches per round
