I'll be damned if Andre didn't try to knock Froch out anyways, though. Just goes to show that people who call him a "punk *****" are out of their mind. Why should he go on the line like that when he could have kept winning the fight in the same manner as earlier?

Thats what pissed me off, he stuck to his strategy so completely, that even when it became obvious that he could have stopped Froch, he didn't go for the kill while he had the energy.

I think he could have stopped Froch around 6-7 if he tried for it once he realized he was in control of the fight.

Its not about punches landed, its about who is controling the pace. Now please tell me, why on earth would Carl Froch fight a round where he throws 10 punches if he is doing what he wants?

Answer: He wouldn't, but he had to because Andre Dirrell was in 110% control.

andre was in control in parts of the fight but not the whole fight there were parts in the fight where it looked like they were brawling, now please tell me why would dirrell brawl with froch?see it goes both ways and thats how i think this whole fight was first half of the round a dirrell fight 2nd half a froch style fight i think you need to watch the fight again i already seen it twice and honestly i think dirrell should be ashamed because he is clearly the better boxer but he was too inactive and for that reason the fight was closer than it should of been

yeah.... dirrell fought scared and could've won easily if he used his speed... but he still won the fight and got robbed.

But he was only able to really paint Froch once he hurt him. Because that made Froch weary. He didn't really hurt him early on, even with those straight rights.

I think he should have stepped on the gas too, but on the flip side, that could have backfired and got him KO'ed, who knows.

I don't see how anyone could say Froch won this fight, and I tend to be open-minded with close fights. This wasn't a close fight. You say Dirrell did nothing, well Froch did even less and Dirrell started throwing and landing at will in the second half of the fight.

Best I can see for Froch is 7-5 Dirrell, I had it 8-3-1 Dirrell, the first round was even.

Haha. Froch had all 49 of his cousins vote for him, apparently. And they're all lying to themselves. Dirrell wrecked house tonight, and proved himself to me (but could have done a little better early).
