If we are being honest, Bivol ran from Biev for years until he was 40. Biev has last some stamina and Bivol has now ran for 80% of 24 rounds from a 40 year old, and he "won" this fight by running for 2:30 seconds while Biev hit him and chased him around, and then flurried a bit here and there. Both fifhts were mostly boring because of Bivol, totally.

The fact is that once Bivol whipped Canelo....and I called that fight for Bivol the day it was announced....than the entire boxing world who suck Canelo's overrated arze had to make out like Biv was an all timer and they all became huge Bivol fans. And by beating Biev, who is 40 and who he ducked for years, Canelo fans can tell themselves that Canelo really is that good. It is really an incredible phenemenon.

Bivol has always been a very good fighter, Canelo is overrated as hell, and Biev is getting old and Bivol has now fought him like a scared kid twice.

Biev is about done with his career. Bivol was smart to duck him for years and let Biev's injuries pile up and wait for him to be middle aged. You'd think he wouldn't have to run like a marathon runner all night against this version of Biev. But he stunk it up and got rocked and let Biev tire out and then he flurried at the end of rounds.

Canelo fans I mean Bivol fans have alot to be proud of. LoL.
nope I respected Alvarez but was never a fan of his

he’s just picking cherries these days

but that Alvarez was better than on Artur’s record besides Bivol and maybe Gvozdyk

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Bivol outlanded Artur in clean punching in most rounds of both fights

fight 1 was a lesson for Bivol in pro boxing mentality

judges overvalue the championship rounds and how you finish each round

fight 2 was the start of Bivol’s prime

Yeah but it isnt amateur scoring on points. The clean punches were close in both fights. Professional boxing is scored on effective aggression, who is pushing the fights, harder punches.

In boxing history it is not often a guy wins running backwards the entire fight and taking damage, then landing a few flurries in the last 30 seconds. The Saudis wanted a trilogy and they got it. Hell maybe Biev and Bivol were in on it. Biev had Bivol hurt a few times and let him off the hook. Alot of money in a trilogy.

I can see benavidez beating Bivol, Bivol should be forced to fight benavidez first and winner fights beterbiev

Artur is a great fighter but has shown flaws in the past

I think the “Muhammad bros” got excited and made Artur out to be this damn near unbeatable Mayweatheresque figure

Artur fought hard but it wasn’t enough tonight. Bivol made the better adjustments

Artur had a fully recovered knee this time and was attacking the body frequently

but Bivol’s faster hands had the final say. For the first time Artur look tired between rounds. Fatigue is normal when someone is being outlanded by a significant margin

They love knockdowns and great fights, they love excitement.....until it comes to Bivol who is just such a "master boxer" that when HE runs, it is an all time classic and anyone who says it wasn't just doesn't know boxing. Christ. If this was another fighter they would laugh at all the running. But it is THE GUY WHO BEAT THE LEGEND CANELO. So they love it.

BIvol never ran from Beterbiev, Beterbiev left Matchroom when there was a clear path to unification, when he left he allowed Arum to continually poo poo the fight and claim no one wanted to see it and only accepted it when the money on offer was too much to turn away.

Bivol didn't run in either fight, he was the one landing the clean effective punches in both fights, Beterbiev was landing on the forearms and gloves as well as the hips primarily as is his wont, rabbit punches as well if we're completely honest.

Also Beterbiev was never injured before there first fight, we're to believe an older man is not only going to recover but recover in a matter of weeks and head into camp for the normal 8-12 weeks for the October date and lets not forget this injury occurred in May.

When a meniscus tear can take up to 9 months and you're in crutches for the first 6-8 weeks assuming it's a keyhole surgery and not open.

Despite us having clear indications of younger fighters like Sergio Martinez career getting completely finished by a meniscus tear.

He was likely cycling and using as injury as a cover, only the injury in question takes far longer to recover from then an old man like him took.

Masterful?!? Who wrote this?? Bivol was surviving from 2-8/9 slapping betterbiev off. The commentators were even making excuses for bivol for more than half the fight saying he was hurt because he wasn't throwing his right hand. Draw at best, definitely not a championship winning performance.

Biev been tested every fight. Always passed.

Bivol landed some clean shots. Nothing that hurt Biev. Biev rocked Bivol several times and had him staggering to get away. Bivol ran backwards 80% of both fights. He can't handle Biev's power and so he constantly runs. Pro boxing is scored on clean shots, the harder punches thrown, who is making the fight, who is the aggressor. As I said, it is not normal for a fighter to win running backwards constantly and taking shots, then trying to steal the last 30 seconds of rounds. The other 2 min 30 seconds hold just as much weight. In those minutes Bivol is usually running.

Biev said many times that he wanted to fight Bivol. Bivol never seemed keen until Artur hit 39.

Just saying. It all seems a bit questionable. Artur has Bivol reeling and he just let him off the hook. The smile Biev gave at the end seemed off as well, as if he was grimacing because he knew something that we don't.....maybe that he didn't finish Bivol for that reason? He is 40 and maybe has another year or two. Maybe he was told he will make a huge amount to take into retirement if he allows the trilogy? He was utterly whipping Bivol for a few rounds, and then he just stopped. For most of the rest of the fight.

I have to say, it looked thrown. I just rewatched and Biev looks fine physically, but he just coasts.

Not saying I blame him. But he won the fight IMO, it just looks like he could have stopped Bivol at most any time and instead he let Bivol get his punches in.

On second watch I'm calling it a definite setup to get a trilogy. I'd be pissed at Biev but he has given us all great fights. I can kind of understand it. It's alot of money.

Not sure what fight you were watching. It was a masterful performance. Beterbiev is maybe the biggest pressure fighter in boxing today and maybe the heaviest handed also. To find a way to deal with that and win is impressive
