I don’t wanna see a trilogy next.

Bivol circles around Bena and chops him up around the high guard. Bena can not hurt Bivol in any way.
I think I'm even more intrigued by Beterbiev v Benavidez. Just to see what it actually looks like.
regardless of who you pick to win, you can visualise what Bivol v Benavidez will look like in terms of the style of fight and you won't be far wrong. It's just Benavidez trying to chase Bivol down and probably getting schooled at times unless he can make a breakthrough. It would definitely be competitive either way it goes.
But Im trying to visualise Beterbiev v Benavidez in a ring together and I can't really imagine it, so it's more intruguing for me.Comment

Those slinging hooks of Bivol are pretty fast but maybe they don't look as fast because he throws it with a different mechanic. I don't think they differ much on speed department.Comment

That’s by far the best matchup stylistically. Would be a war for as long as it lasted.

easy for Ben to be fast since he throws short shots in flurries at close quarters
Bivol likes long punches which take more time to extend
Ben has habit of jumping in with some wild lazy sht. Bivol right would cross over the top and land on his chin
Ben would sometimes jab without his rear hand guarding his jaw. Bivol is quick enough to counter this with the lead hook
Ben would see the final bell against this version of Artur
Massive wear & tear on him after the 2nd Bivol fightComment

I wouldn't even be surprised if Beterbiev retired. Hes 40, lost his belts, quite injury prone and already openly said he didn't even wanna do a second fight with Bivol.
Maybe when the dust settles, he might not even be arsed about going again.
If he does fight again, I think it'll only be the trilogy and he retires win or lose.Comment

They are both good, sure. But I hate Bivol's style.. All he does is run and throw quick pitter patter punches and gets back on his bike again.
Beterbiev is slightly more entertaining because he presses forward but is also not explosive..
Watching them fight is a little frustrating and not entertaining at times because they fight like if they are still in the amateurs trying to win by points. Especially for Bivol..
Again both are great fighters but definitely not fan friendly superstar flashy favorites.
Mexican style marching forward throwing chingasos is more entertaining than technical Russian putter patter bike riding boxing. I'd say American slick boxing is more entertaining also..
A thrid fight can happen, probably should, and I'll probably buy it, but we all know it's gonna be the same under whelming pitter patter BS. Bivol will not sit and engage and will just have beterbiev chasing him all night...Last edited by ReggieKray; 02-23-2025, 07:13 AM.Comment

I think Beterbiev should have his chance at redemption just as Bivol had his. Both fights were close and entertaining enough to warrant it.
Bivol-Beterbiev III
Benavidez-Callum Smith as the co-main
It gives Benavidez the opportunity to beat a common canelo opponent and do better against him to continue building his name. Callum is coming off a good fight as well so it wouldn’t be a waste of time.Comment
