Maybe Shakur could have tried a bit harder and asked Zepeda's ma for permission to fight her boy?? He could have also held Schofield hostage until fight night and dragged the man up on the ring.

Shoot, might as well blame Shakur for Dubois bowing out of Riyadh too.....

In all fairness to Shakur, the Haneys, I believe, were only offering Shakur 20 to 25% of the purse. Had Shakur turned down 35-40%, I'd agree with you, but he turned down an unfair offer, in my opinion...

haney offered him 25% of the purse which is more than fair for an undisputed shot and allthe belts!!!! get outa here lol and its a fight that shak said he would win EASY so he calls the shots in the rematch and into the future as well LOL its a no brainer sorry

remember haney went to OZ twice and took short money to get his shot and he did that DOH shak would have made more money on that haney fight than he mankes on his usual fights anyhow!!! as well

25% more than fair?? I'm gonna respectfully disagree as I think 35% would have been fair.

As for Haney taking short end to fight in OZ, yes he did, as he wasn't the money side of that fight, but Haney didn't take no 25% his percentage was in the 40%.

The greatest joy in boxing is seeing a massive underdog dethrone the coc.ky, mouthy champion. It's happened before, not just in cinema, and as a fan I'd love to see it again and again.

Seeing Teo humiliated by Kambo was the last time I can remember, and that was joyous.

listen i dont think u are thinking this true and u are coming out with bogie figures off the top of yur head on top of it

haney agreed to a lower split and went to oz and even if he WON he agreed to rematch back in kambos ozz!! think about that PLUS if shakur had takien the offer and WON he would get the lions share in anyupcoming fights with him as the multople belt holder and IF he just wanted to do mandos for a while he takes 75% of that as WELL am i correct in saying he mando guy gets 25% split????? WOW its win win win win win his career would be TOTALLY different than it is now even even tank may may (prob not tho) have looked his way instead of pretending he doesnt exist !!! LOL

I rather fighters be active, it is not his fault that the fight is not getting made and he already did his training camp. Also why not still get paid and give someone an unexpected pay day. So much you can do with such a short notice and no one is breaking the door down to fight Shakur.
