That's the kind of opposition Anderson needs after the landslide beating he suffered... Should be an easy KO for all the hype they put in him.. And if not, well there goes another great hope ...

I like what Hooded Terror and Left Hook Louie had to say here. I suppose its fair that the lead story was that "America's young heavyweight hope stumbles", and beyond that, the dominance that Bakole displayed. It was overlooked that Anderson displayed plenty of Moxie by repeatedly getting up and wading back in for more.

A heavyweight punch is more than a match for anyone's brain, no matter who you are. This can be used as a learning lesson to a dedicated fighter, teching things that CANNOT be learned in the gym or in a win.

In the old days, this was never frowned upon. Jose Luis Garcia did it to Kenny Norton and it helped evolve Norton into the man who could be Ali.

MMA thinking is right in this instance.

He really needs to change his mindset number one. He clearly wasn’t as dedicated to the sport as he could be by his own admission. He also needs a good trainer who can teach h him how to truly control the distance AND how to move his head more. He really needs to understand that winning is more important than swatting someone out for the count too. If you can stick and move and jab and tie up and deny your opponent the use of his best weapons, you win. Someone needs to show him that’s an option

As much as Bakole thrashed Anderson every minute in their match, I had to respect how Jared kept getting up and fighting. Sure, he was outgunned and wearing down at the gloves of the bigger, stronger and quicker man, but I didn't really see any quit in him. How he emerges from the experience remains to be seen, but in no way am I writing him off.

That's true, he tried to stay in the fight and Bakole had to keep on beating him down.
What's interesting is that Anderson has turned off a lot of boxing fans by talking as if his heart is not in it.
But, you know, actions speak louder than words, so we can give Anderson props for that.

I'm so sick of these 25-0 prospects taking up spots on televised cards. Top rank and pbc seem the most guilty of this to me. Both look like they aren't in the greatest place right now...one can only hope they dinosaur. They can take canelo with them.
