Eh... It was a bad, bad loss. That does not really worry me. What is concerning is that someone of his skill level just does not appear to either love the sport or the challenge of it. Anyone with a true passion will beat someone without it.
Anderson always got hit too much and unless he tightened his guard this was going to happen but he really did fight the wrong guy and Martin may also be the wrong guy for them all. With work on defence and other schooling with Sugarhill , Anderson can come again but not against Martin.
the attributes of his last opponent and lack of big fights got Anderson. He's going to get better especially if he learned from his defeat. This dude would make a great fight with Usyke because they're dam near the same height
As much as Bakole thrashed Anderson every minute in their match, I had to respect how Jared kept getting up and fighting. Sure, he was outgunned and wearing down at the gloves of the bigger, stronger and quicker man, but I didn't really see any quit in him. How he emerges from the experience remains to be seen, but in no way am I writing him off.
“We were not thrilled – our matchmakers Brad Goodman and Bruce Trampler did not like the fight for Jared.”
Top Rank Protection Program confirmed. They don’t like to put their fighters in risky or 50/50 fights unless they have to.
It’s why Xander Zayas is talking about challenging for a world title later this year despite having beaten no one of any consequence.
I'm so sick of these 25-0 prospects taking up spots on televised cards. Top rank and pbc seem the most guilty of this to me. Both look like they aren't in the greatest place right now...one can only hope they dinosaur. They can take canelo with them.
