Comments Thread For: Hearn calls Jesse Bam Rodriguez-Fernando Martinez one of the best fights in boxing

The fight would be a unification bout between Rodriguez, who is the lineal champion and WBC titleholder, and Martinez, who has the WBA belt.

As much as I love Puma, this is easy work for Bam, who would probably finish Martinez inside 8 or 9 rounds.

It would be a great great fight! Perfect for Jesse's career. But Martinez is no top P4P boxer, so it's not "one of the best fights in boxing". Jesse v Nakatani however.... :O

This is a "stay busy" fight for Rodriguez

No mention of Bam moving up for Nakatani. Eddie wants to keep Bam safe. Smart man.

It's certainly the best fight in the division, barring Bam v Chocolatito perhaps. IBF is vacant, and who knows what Cafu is going to do, coming off his split decision win over Kosei Tanaka.

Imo it would be a very entertaining fight and Puma will push Bam
i thé first few rounds and can quite make it interesting
Bam does get hit way to much for my taste and his kamikaze style , unfortunately , will come
to an end sooner than later
Not taking anything away from him but over time , it begins to take a huge toll
              Just sayin’

Let Bam fight Chocolatito first, and Martinez fight Ioka. Then make the fight.

If anything I'd prefer if they did it the other way around. Bam v Ioka, Martinez can try to make it past Choc. If he can, he'll have demonstrated he's at that level, and Bam can get another aging legend on his resume before he retires.
