Women's boxing, how are we supposed to take this shyt seriously?
what?! I saw WBC (think it was them) saying anything above supermiddle for the women is just heavyweight. But surely that means no upper limit.

I think it’s ****** that the UFC has a heavyweight upper limit too. Just let the big boys go at it.

She has still accomplished a lot and I admire her as an athlete for that, but the hubris to place herself at the same level as Ali, given the clear disparity in the quality of their pro resumes, is spectacular, delusional, if not disrespectful to the fans of the sport.
I agree with almost everything written, with the exception of her being delusional or disrespectful. She's confident and promotes herself, clearly most fans of the sport aren't going to do it. She fights for recognition. Absolutely the talent pool isn't as great in the men's divisions. But she has challenged herself to be great.

“I've never looked at boxing as men and women."

If that's the case, why do you call yourself the GWOAT and not the GOAT??

Your titles at 160 and 154 meant way more than your titles at heavyweight, Claressa. Even 168 is fairly sparse as far as elite competition; any higher than that and you're looking at a 3 woman division, tops.

Unfortunately if it's not 130 to 140 in female boxing it's not worth tuppence. Sorry Claressa I won't be tuning in.

Anything past 147 in female boxing is pretty much a dead division. Claressa is the size she is so she has to fight whos there but the talent pool is so shallow in them divisions the fact she's had 15 pro fights and become undisputed 3 divisions shows that there just isn't any body who's a serious threat in them divisions and financially aswell it can't be very lucrative hence why she's in the PFL aswell doing MMA

Ali never beat anyone in Perkins' class. Perkins is 42 years unbeaten. If Shields beats her then not only is she the GWOAT, she is the GOAT and becomes the 1A/1B Face of Boxing with Jake 'The Great' Paul. Nash out - His Majesty

If she achieves this goal, there can be no doubt that this woman is the true GOAT of boxing (no gender qualifiers necessary).
