LoL @ "buying to send a message". Hah, that's funny. I bought the Benavidez-Morrell PPV, and it was good BUT, $80 is too much. These matchups aren't Mayweather vs Paquiao level and I really don't see many coming that will be that level. All promoters getting buys at these prices better enjoy it while it lasts. It will be joining the dinosaurs.
$25 for a PPV in this era is about right. And that's for only the biggest matchups. A lot of these other PPV promotions are reaches. Many of us love boxing. But we got much better fights on free TV back in the day (80's, 90's, etc). The world changes true enough but technology brings prices down not up. Only very special events are gonna be ale to sustain high-priced PPVs.
I enjoyed the run of PPV's that were also shown in IMAX theaters for $20 in the 20-teens (2012 - 2020). By far this was the best value and presentation for fans. A theater full of fans with food, popcorn, soft and hard drinks was awesome. IMAX screens are the best seat in the house by a mile. Promoters should be working to maximize this.

For sure, in 2002 one of these three would have been a ppv, one boxing after dark, and the last friday night fights.
Fnf might be a bit unfair, but I bet I wouldn't enjoy tanks card much more than a good FNF broadcast.
Al just has no money left...good on him for overpaying guys for mostly boring matchups.

You have a a Fighter fighting a d fighter where everyone knows the result. Saudi cards are worth it. I don't mind paying for those.

Fortunately I'm too used to watching the likes of Inoue and Nakatani and Ioka and such fight for free LEGALLY that I can never understand those arguing that $90 PPV are worth it or not and justifying stealing to begin with.
My answer would be to make them all ******able for free legally with ads or something.

These are useless articles when you're not addressing fake, exaggerated, manufactured PPV reports. Why are there reports only on PBC fights? Where are Turki's PPV numbers? Aren't they supposed to sell more because they're cheaper? Where are GBP's PPV numbers? Where are TR's numbers? Where are MR's? Why are there no articles about this?
