Lara or Adames would have to sign the contract first. Lara's last fight was Danny Garcia, who hadn't fought in more than two years, and Adames hasn't fought in more than a year at all. His last fight was Terrell Gausha. Both those guys are 154lbers in their late 30's. 160 doesn't have anyone worth mentioning except Sheeraz. Others in BoxRec top 10 include Bruno Surace, previously unheralded until he knocked out Munguía. Etinosa Oliha, Anauel Ngamissengue, etc. Chris Eubank Jr is in there?

Sheeraz withdrew from the WBO purse bid and went after Adames, who already turned down an offer to fight Alimkhanuly, saying it wasn't enough money, as if he's some superstar. Andrade and Munguía already swerved him several times, and Janibek has been calling out both Lara and Adames for years and has sent offers to both that have been declined. I'm not aware of a single offer coming back the other way from the Protected Boxers Club. And Eubank's promoter said "we'd enjoy watching that fight, but it doesn't transcend" after Janibek offered to fight him. Guy has called out everyone with any kind of a name in the division, and they won't fight him even with two belts on the line.
