Actually it was Eddie Hearn. Ennis pretty much would stop fragile chin Ortiz. That fight will happen in 2025

Actually boots himself said it was time to move to 154 pounds in the ring right after his last fight. And then at the post fight press conference Eddie Hearn mentioned the Vergil Ortiz fight and boots said he was on board. The proof is there. These aren’t personal opinions, they are facts. At the end of the day the fighter has the last say so. Stop blaming the promoter just because the boxer you idolize is a coward

So sick of both these dudes being mentioned in big fights to no avail.

Ennis is still a big mystery imo, dude hasn't fought anyone with a pulse. Now Ortiz likely loses his next 1 and is very much overrated.

It’s ok Boots backed out thinking Oritiz would be too dangerous to fight for his 154 debut although real, believable champions like this type of challenge, ie: Bud taking a real tough cookie Jeff Horn @ his 147 debut in Horn’s home turf of Australia, then taking on another very tough cookie Madrimov at 154 debut. Team Boots need better confidence in their ability instead of fake chatter.
