-In this day and age, nothing technically has to be face to face.

-Turki doesn't just have regular money. He definitely has more money than all these wack promoters do COMBINED. I wouldn't want to wait either if I'm putting up ALL the money.....lil puppy's loss. Im sure he'll regret it now with the rumors that amazon is cuttin pbc off this spring.
You believe that negotiations should be between fighter and Turki only. I won't argue your opinion because that is your opinion and I respect it. I can only present my reasoning for why a fighter meeting with Turki alone isn't wise. I'll use Pitbull as an example.

Pitbull doesn't strike me as a highly educated man. He seems humble and unafraid to put in hard work to feed himself and his family. Contracts are very hard to understand even for educated people, that is why it is always important to have an attorney present when one is about to sign an important contract.

As to not needing to be face to face in this day and age, I would agree, but Turki wants to meet face to face to do business. He proved that, when he wanted to negotiate with Ginger originally, before his fight with Berlanga. Turki wants to look people in the eye, shake hands and sign contracts, that is not possible over zoom.

I don't think Pitbull refused to fight with Ryan or to do business with Turki, he just simply said that he would like to focus on his upcoming fight to avoid distractions. That's the professional thing to do in my opinion. I don't think Turki is being reasonable in understanding that a fighter has to be focused 100% on his next rival. These guys give up family and other important things for weeks to eat sleep boxing and to focus on their rival.

I believe Pitbull did the wise thing in not abandoning his training camp to negotiate a future fight when his next fight is just days away. Could he have turned Turki off by requesting time? Possibly, but he might have also earned Turki's respect. I guess Pitbull will find out soon enough, but what is most important now, is that Pitbull wins his fight against Fierro and for that he needs to be 100% focused..

I learned my lesson a while back betting on sure things man, anything can happen up on that ring, especially if there's any sort of distraction..

Just a few weeks back a young prospect that is trained by a female was knocked out by a guy who only had a handful of knock outs. Can't remember the kid's name but he was caught by a looping right, I believe. Upsets happen and we're seeing them more nowadays I believe and we're gonna continue to see them on these Turki cards.

Gonna be a slugfest vs Fierro. He's slow, and has tons of flaws, but he's got power at the level he's been fighting at least, and he hasn't been stopped yet. 7" reach advantage over Pitbull, but he's so slow that I don't think Cruz will have much trouble getting inside. He at least takes angles and doesn't always leave his head in the same slot, but his guard is really loose because he's all about throwing punches. He's got a puncher's chance, but not really the right style to give Cruz trouble IMO.

I get what you're saying and what I meant to clarify is that a fighter and their lawyer/manager is cool. But fcuk a promoter. Theyre sneaky mofos

In the end, Cruz is fighting a tj cab driver. Hopefully he didn't ruin this great opportunity

                  I agree about promoters...

Yes, Pitbull might have blown an opportunity with Turki. I'm hoping he didn't as Pitbull isn't that great of a technical boxer but he's an overachiever who makes the best of what he has so I respect him for that.

I'm not too familiar with Fierro, but I understand he's a come forward type fighter who likes to trade. If Pitbull gets the win in impressive fashion Turki might call him up again..

I really hope not but history does repeat itself
On that note , it might just be a matter of time before Turki becomes a promoter for all the wrong reasons
I had made a thread asking folks how long will it be before Turki begins to flex his power
By that I mean demanding ridiculous fights or forcing fighters to accept conditions
                    to make fights
I hope it won’t come to that but like I said earlier, history repeats itself
