Your weight scenario would only make sense if Bud plans to go in there to avoid not getting stopped, just survive and collect that big phat paycheck. Pretty sure Bud wont be anywhere near competitive at 185 on fight nite. No way Jose.

yeah 185 is pushing it i agree!!!!

if hes 170 now it makes sense he might put on a big more tho maybe 175 ish and that means he would be about 10 pounds lighter (guess of corse) then his opponent canelo or so fight night or else he just stays at 170 the way he is now and goes for speed idk, people beat guys who weight 15 pounds more on the night to them but its not an easy thing to do i would say u would have to be better than that guy and probably clearly better too

        • What Mickey doesn't understand, is that Crawford stylistically is a nightmare for Canelo. First and foremost with past bouts with Floyd Mayweather and more recently Bivol, with good ring IQ and solid jab is enough to fluster Canelo into a UD, and don't lie Canelo is not the better fighter then Crawford a blind man can see that.

Another example that I want to highlight is Lara vs Canelo, a fight I personally thought Lara won, Canelo showed that a skilled Southpaw will give him too much trouble.

Crawford as I mention does ALL those skills extremely(emphasis on extremely) well, mind you he has been perfecting his feints and high guard, to perfect nightmarish switch hitting which I promise you will hurt Canelo by catching him off guard.

I don't see Canelo catching him on a counter while switching doesn't have the skills nor stamina, he's not making it to a slugfest, too much skill involved, and I doubt he getting a one punch KO.

People will be pleasantly surprised to see how well Crawford handles the weight with a comfortable UD or late mid round stoppage. With all the ramblings of PED use.

The cumulative effect of those counter straights is going to crack him

                You're silly.

Bivol threw over 700 punches v Canelo and held him to only 17% landed. Canelo throws on the high 400 range in his fights. Crawford usually falls in the low 400 range. He simply doesn't have the activity level to do what Bivol did, and is stylistically very different to boot. And, his stamina will suffer if he doesn't cut the right amount of weight. Fighters that try to jump divisions almost always think it's a matter of just not cutting as much, but they're not used to carrying that much weight because they've never done it, and they gas faster than expected. Do you honestly think Crawford is a bigger puncher than Golovkin, Munguía, Berlanga, etc? Canelo held Bivol to 20% land rate, while Crawford got hit at a 30+% rate by Madrimov. Crawford's been hurt by lesser punchers than Canelo and been saved by his power. But now he's up against a bigger man with a higher work rate and more power who's got a better defensive rate against top competition to boot. I like Crawford, but he's not going to win this fight. Canelo might be slipping, but neither of them are prime any more.

                • If the Madrimov fight was a gauge as to how well Crawford will do vs Canelo, it doesn't look good. However Madrimov is no Canelo when it comes to star power and the hunger to train for a guy like Canelo. If Crawford is kickin on all cylinders that night, he could upset Canelo with a world class performance.

I'm not sure I ever really cared to see them two fight, but if it's going to happen, I'm down. It appears to be a good farewell fight for both guys really in that it might be both of their last biggest fights they could be involved in. Actually Canelo also has Benavidez, but that ain't ever happening.

Now why don’t you tell us who’s your alt. ???

                    • Canelo fought a prime Erislandy Lara who was much more textbook and sharper than Crawford who tends to throw wide looping punches. Unlike Lara, Crawford can and will get into unnecessary exchanges and Canelo will catch him. I don’t see how Crawford win this fight. Canelo might give him the Austin Trout treatment.
