Was Anthony Joshua any better than a Prime Cris Arreola?

I’ve never thought AJ was all that great. Too stiff, mechanical, small head, telegraphs his punches, can’t fight that well on the outside and is not durable enough to fight punchers at midrange etc.

But he’s WAY better than Chris Arreola ffs.

    TS is trolling though

2010 Chris vs 2020 Anthony would be a good ass fight though.

Arreola never beat anyone ranked by ring going 0-7. He just hung around beating weak competition. Not sure why anyone would view him with any reverence or as some kind of legit contender when he wasn't. Joshua went 8-4 against ring ranked fighters for comparison. Levels but for pbc fans everything is subjective and fantasy rules the day

Personally I think prime Arreola would probably beat Joshua up, although Joshua has a better resume, I think they are hard to split.
Arreloa was a complete bum. He wasn't even fringe level. He's nowhere near to AJ's level. Arreola goes to sleep in one sided fashion.

I see you didn't come back to justify your comments. But you clearly still have AJ on your mind. He has you emotionally hook, line and sinker. A nobody wouldn't be able to do that. But if you must dedicate time to all this. Go ahead. But it's hilarious what he's got you doing.

Arreola was tough as nails & would go after any HW. He’d take 2 to land 1 but he often went to a gun fight with a knife. He lacked power & fighters who could take his punches could sit back & counter with bombs. Arreola walked into plenty of them. He was exciting to watch. Reminds me a lot of a prime Francois Botha. I think Joshua beats him as I don’t think Arreola could avoid a big right counter from AJ for 12 rounds.

Arreola wasn't a huge puncher but he had enough pop to put Ruiz down and shake him up.

Joshua is a ****** fighter who can't stick to a gameplan and always ends up exchanging. If he was intelligent he would have adopted wladamir Klitschkos safety first style but he's not intelligent enough to do that so he always ends up exchanging

In that kind of fight I back Arreola who is the tougher man, and I simply don't think AJ can take his punches.

AJ has a punchers chance at best imo vs a prime Cristobal, he's all wrong for AJ who is better against pitter pat boxer types than rugged brawlers.

Arreola was never KOed by Ruiz.
