He's ready hammered Haney , so the fun has already gone from that match up , okay , 3lb over but the rerun won't be any different I suspect I'd sooner see Ryan in with Lopez. My Man of many years should be no where Canelo @ 168 Bud struggled at 154 against a guy that Canelo would just walk through. Turki should be looking Canelo v Benevidez if he wants the real stuff.

Yeah, some big names for an eliminator, but a question that leaves me perplexed, the more I think about it is, "how do these eliminator bouts help Boots unify 147?". We know Turki offered Boots good money to fight Virgil at 154, but an argument can be made that Boots decided not to fight Virgil because Boots wanted to unify 147(Boots' words, not mine) as well as Virgil having no belt at 154 to fight for.
Fighting Teo, Ryan or Devin doesn't bring Boots one step closer to unifying 147. I'm still intrigued by the eliminator bouts, but can't help but think that fighting these guys that are coming from 140 is not really a challenge for Boots, considering Boots has been at 147 for about 10 years and none of these guys I mentioned hold any titles at 147.
I wanna see Boots stay busy and fight guys that will challenge him and bring out the best in him or guys at 147 that are champs so he can unify. I just don't think these guys are much of a challenge nor do they put him in a position to unify 147..Comment

I appreciate he's a young man who may actually be a few buns short of a full picnic.....classic!
Whoa, Champ. I have never been a defender of Saul Alvarez. I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from those first two fights with Gennadiy Golovkin. That's why I drink. I'm just not big on Ryan Garcia. I appreciate he's a young man who may actually be a few buns short of a full picnic, but he should talk less (that's what he advised himself on X and who am I to disagree).Comment

Great points and not because I like them but because I can't argue them. Looking at it from point of view, and considering what Ennis has done/said and what he's doing......it kind of wrecks it for me.....takes the shine off.

It kind of does.... I'm still a fan of Boots, but I remember being a big fan of SRL as a kid. I remember how nervous I was that he was gonna be fighting Hearns and most of my friends and family members telling me that Hearns was gonna KO him, well we know how that turned out.
I was hoping that Boots moved up to fight Virgil and prove the doubters wrong. I felt/feel that Boots would edge out a tough fought battle against Virgil as well as some of the big names at 154. Oh well, with Turki paying good money for these 140 guys to move up to 147, we now have a very hot 147 division as well as hot 154 division. Good stuff!Comment

There's a guy at my job that abuses 'work from home'. He's not fired because he brings in numbers. I know it's not the same but in any aspect of life, if you're worth something they'll keep you around....

I guess all that mumbp jumbo about unifying is all bullchit
He just keeps digging that hole bigger with every decision he makes
Especially if he does take the fight once the moment comes
Also , for a guy who wants to unify he sure is making noise

I mean the second half of that statement also applies to Canelo and camp Reynoso…lest we forget how many people under Reynoso to date have failed testing including Canelo.Comment

I agree, but in all fairness to Boots, I have yet to hear him state that he wants to fight Teo and is interested in fighting the winner of Ryan-Haney. I've only read Turki's words and he might be negotiating with Hearn and not Boots.
Boots did say that all future decisions would be believable only if they came from him directly and not from someone else. I'll wait to hear from Boots himself before I believe what Turki or Hearn say...Comment
