do you realize how ***ing impossible the negotiations would be if they even tried to make that fight with haney and his dad feeling victimized they would want all kinds of **** to feel like they "won" in the negotiations. probably request 80 percent purse or some bull****

Hmmmm, I guess that's one way of looking at it but the fact remains....Devin lost because he tried to slug with a better slugger and the rest is hypocritical nonsense.

I'm sorry but nobody blows up more than 1 lb per hour for 24 hours and then fights on an elite level for 12 rounds without cheating, nobody, because without drugs it's not possible.

In the spirit of keeping things real, if there is a rematch I expect Devin Haney to win by hugging for 12 rounds in a stink feast. Devin will then go on to avoid anyone of equal size that can box and punch like Ennis and for some fans that's better for boxing.

This is about punishing Haney financially. A rematch with Ryan is his most lucrative option. DLH is making him pay for being a crybaby and suing them. Now Haney has to go back to fighting stiffs and unknowns for marginal purses. No 8-digit paychecks, no legacy fights.

Honestly, I think Oscar made the right move. A battery lawsuit in the sport of boxing is a BS that cuts both ways. Even if the Haney's were to (by some miracle) win, nobody will fight him after that, certainly not for what he brings to the table.

If there is a rematch, I expect Devin to run around, hug and stink out a win so there's really no upside for Oscar.

I give DLH his props. He has learned that the harder you play Turki, the more he will pay. Turki desperately wants Haney, so just take a page from Canelo’s and Fury’s playbook and either retire or say you have no interest in the fight and Turki will pay you a lot more. Reverse psychology is the key to play Turki.
