Precisely. The way so-called boxing fans hate on boxers, it really makes you don't want to be part of this culture. I am no fan of Haney (in fact, I think that Loma beat him), but Haney is a proven warrior. Yeah, the lawsuit is maybe not the best way to deal with the situation with Garcia, but I would be crazy angry if I knew I fought an opponent on roids; that kind of difference can end up in harming you for life or even in death. It's like these haters are oblivious about the nature of boxing, its history, and how it is a hard, hard sport. You see the same kind of bs with those who have expressed no compassion towards Donald Curry. If these are adults, I hope they somehow learn that that kind of dog-eat-dog, unethical vision is what's destroying our world.

Turki is a boxing fan who wants to see big, interesting, exciting fights. Kind of like a little kid with a huge bank balance that belongs to his father who can watch whatever he likes. There is no way he will pay Haney for a Broner fight. He will want to see something competitive where the outcome is not known at the start. Anyway as I posted in another thread, Turki is the only promoter who will overpay Davin because he does not need to make a profit because he is playing with someone else's money. No other promoter will pay the money that Devin is asking for and risk losing a lot on an even that is not likely to sell well.

I am not sure I am buying an idea that Haney will fight on 24th March and he doesn't have an opponent yet. At the same time Haney is investigating an alternative with Turki. I smell big time BS.

To be able to pay Haney a very high guarantee you need to be able to promote a fight against someone well known and you need to sell tickets and ppvs. That takes planning and it takes time. They have 11 weeks to that event and he does not have an opponent yet. How long would it take just to negotiate a fight like that? In the past they have floated names. Nothing this time. As I said, I smell big time BS.
