He does have a giant ego and that was why I was conflicted the first Loma fight. I hated how he carried himself prior to that fight while Loma epitomizes how I feel a fighter should behave outside the ring. Relentless discipline, hard work in the pursuit of boxing excellence.

Then Teo beat Loma and came back and beat Taylor. He won those “close” fights in my eyes in between and a divorce and health will destroy any man.

truth is that Teo will actually fight, he’s just pricy, possibly pricing himself out but he does have belts. When it’s all said and done he had that leverage and will kill it for what he feels is worth it.

I’m actually proud of Teo standing his ground on principle but I get it.

He definitely thinks really highly of
himself and that will definitely show him in a poor light but he’s young, talented and arrogant but at least he will fight. Pay him he’ll fight whoever.

he fought taylor when taylor was clearly on the slide and did poor in his last fight where he clearly lost but still kept his lineal title and handed it to teo who boasts non stop about that as if its some mega achievement

What a fight to have seen live! I remember Vernon making Shane squeal from a body shot, I was a big fan of Shane, he took some punishment that night. He was a tough SOB, I didn't think he was gonna survive the 12 rounds. I remember Larry asking Vernon how he managed to contain Shane's speed, and Vernon tells him "with the jab! The jab will neutralize the speed".
