Benavidez vs Morrell -- How will the fight play out?

David hasnt looked special last few fights. Yeah he won them but G hadnt had a real fight in 5 years and he didnt look special with Plant.

Morrel hasnt had any big names as a pro. but we also seen big amateur careers CAN make up for that in some cases.

I kind of agree with the other guys here saying that if morrel doesnt come up with a way to slow down david then david is just going to win on activity and win on points. unless morrels power can really shock david and get a knockdown or stoppage or make him weary of coming in then i tend to agree. morrel is near the same size as david so i think it will be a close fight with david not really looking great but edging it on activity

Not sure if it was the extra weight or what not but Benny looked to be struggling with his stamina
Again his shots seemed to lose power as the fight went on and didn’t keep Gvodzyk off of him actually quite the opposite

Yeah if that was the Gvodzyk of 5-6 years ago David would have gotten ran over or stopped

I haven't changed my take on this fight. And I based it on each fighter's last respective fights.

Of course, anything can happen in boxing.

I'm not one to spread baseless rumors or take anything that happens in sparring seriously, but read twice (on YouTube and a Google search) that Benavidez got KO'd in sparring a few days back. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I'm not even sure if Morrell would do better with Andrade, Plant and Gvozdyk.
I would very much like to see Morrell fight the same Gvozdyk that Benavidez fought at some point.
Let's hope it's not 2 to 3 years later.
