Interesting to see what they do with Wardley. This could be his moment; obviously has power and is somewhat raw but that unpredictability is his advantage. Could be too soon for him to go up against the more established names but could be the right time

No slight intended to wardley, who's doing all he should, but what a fkn joke these "sanctioning" organisations are. Number one ranking without having beaten any of the fighters previously ranked above him? And another set of jokers sanctioning "interim champion" whilst they already have an active fighting champion in the division.

Seriously, though: To all those who are on their knees Mecca-style and singing the praises of Turkey His Most Excellent Excellency of Excellencies as the savior of boxing, witness his recent 69-ing with the WBA bigwigs. Yeah, that happened.

WBA doing WBA things. Or more likely it's just Blind Uncle Frank working the org from behind.

They've got Pulev as regular. They already made Hunter mandatory to the regular champion when he beat Chaney. Or at least I thought they did.

I like Wardley and I think his step up fights will be a lot of fun to watch. But this ranking is crazy, even by WBA standards.

Fabio's a definate prospect, but really needs to secure that final notch on the Lonsdale belt & petition the EBU for a shot at the European before moving on to alphabet World title's!

Wow, quite astonishing work by Queensberry to get Wardley moved up to the No.1 spot when his last three fights (Clarke x 2 and Adeleye) were essentially against novice UK pros (in terms of professional fights at least) and not world-ranked contenders. The behind the scenes game-playing never ceases to amaze! Saying that, Fabio is fun to watch, hits very hard, has a warrior's instinct to fire back regardless of where he is or what's happening in the ring, and he has a lot of raw, natural ability too. I read that he's fighting Lenier Pero next (who I'd never heard of before seeing that rumour) but if he's a well-schooled Cuban then that could actually be a tricky fight and potential banana skin. There are some fun heavyweight fights out there for Wardley though. I wouldn't be surprised to see him matched with the likes of Okolie now he's in Frank's stable (and he has a beef with Wardley's longtime manager Dillian Whyte) or even Joyce (although I don't think that would be good matchmaking for Joe at this stage). Adeleye might be after a rematch too after his recent win although that was relatively one-sided in the end. I know Wardley fancies the Dubois fight too, which would be fun as long as it lasts. It will be interesting to see how things shake out after the heavyweight fights on the Feb 22 card to see who's left standing and who moves on.
