Usyk should just retire now. He has nothing left to prove. Please don’t fight Triple D again. It’s a fight he doesn’t need.

He will wait that long to see what the landscape at HW looks like and what huge offer he will get to fight again. There is nothing better to get paid more when they are rumors of retirement.JeBron Lamez likes this.

Usyk is not just fighting for money, titles and legacy. He's also fighting to publicise what is still happening with the Russians in Ukraine.
I think he'll continue to do that.
I also think he might end up being a genuine champion who ultimately passes the torch. That feels like something from a bygone era.

I think I saw an interview with Usyk after the fight where he said he wants to go home to see his 12 month old daughter because he has only seen her for 2.5 months of her life. He wanted to see his house and watch the trees grow. He does not want to think about boxing, opponents, training. Can you blame him? Would any of us do anything different? I wouldn't.

Dubious Parker, nice to see 2 top heavyweights fighting instead of avoiding in they're primes unlike the dark times of the Aj avoid everyone with politics era, always fighting with a parachute, melt.
Have a day off. It's Christmas. No matter now many lies you tell yourself, the evidence is all there to debunk everything you claim.kafkod likes this.

Last week Usyk said he'd go down to CW but he did about a million interviews so maybe he just said something to get the reporter off his ass.

I see what your saying with Parker, like against Zhang though if ddd connects he's going down. Can Parker get past ddd's jab?
He's developed a win by any means neccessary - even if it means getting dirty - approach which doesn't jibe with the art of boxing.
If the ref lets Dubois get away with the dirt, like - Parker v Whyte or Doobie v Hrgy - or imposes himself in the action like Parker v AJ or Doobie v Usyk, then the fix is in and Parker's getting jobbed again.
The way Parker looks and has been training lately he's capable of rocking Doobie and knocking him clean TFO!

If Oleksandr Uysk continues to fight on, and is campaigning in the Heavyweight Division 'Then I honestly expect, somehow or someway Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to fight Uysk in a trilogy fight. Potentially even as early as late 2025'.
People need to factor in that boxing, is a competitive sport 'But at the fundamental level, it is prize fighting. Oleksandr Uysk is now the Lineal and Unified World Heavyweight Champion, and former Undisputed Champion. Him and his team are going to want to take all the opportunities that his position in the sport brings'.
The one thing which makes a trilogy fight vs Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua III possible 'Is that fact that Uysk, although he has beaten both of those fighter's twice. Nobody here can claim that his victories where 100& conclusive'.
Note: In the sport of boxing, and all combat sports 'The only conclusive victory, which can be scored. Is a knock-out win, a brutal systematic beat down over the distance, or a stoppage win where the opponents are showing signs of not having the required eagerness to continue fighting. Which will then force the referee or opponent's corner to initiate the stoppage'.
Oleksandr Usyk is just about beating his nearest competition, he is like one of those great middle distance to long distance runners 'Who always just times his sprint effort, and overcomes his competition in the latter half of the race. But for 80% of those races, it is clear? That he is not a super dominant Heavyweight fighter, he is merely just exploited these Modern day Super Heavyweight fighters in the areas of their game, where they struggle i.e. Overall conditioning, tendency to commit unforced errors and technical mistakes, low level of technical skill and creativity compared to the fighters from lower weight classes, and the reduce speed processing speed. Fighters such as Oleksandr Uysk have the ability to process the action, at a faster rate than his Super Heavyweight competition. This is a skill and ability which has been trained and refined for years, while he was competing in the Cruiserweight Divisions'.
To conclude: I think the third fight ether between Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Uysk III, or Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Uysk III is very likely 'And almost inevitable, if all three fighters moving into 2025 still have the ambition to compete'.
The pathway back towards a World title fight, is very clear for both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua 'They quite simply have to fight each other. And then the victor of that fight, can compete against the winner of Joseph Parker or Daniel Dubois'.
Oleksandr Uysk may be forced to fight Zhilei Zhang or Martin Bakole 'But if chooses not to defend his titles vs those fighters. Then once again Oleksandr Uysk will vacate his titles, and? We will get more titles fights, and opportunities for fighters such as Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua to somehow fight their way back toward a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Uysk III' etc.

But imagine Usyk with 3 wins over Fury? That would be something. Ali got 2 wins over liston, and 2 wins over Frasier.
