All of that stuff is just regurgitation and it sucks so bad to read. In my very humble opinion, Usyk is just miraculous with his skill levels, Fury did not take the risks needed and thought he was winning, Fury has considerable talent and beats most anyone else out there, but either Usyk has his number or he is just that good of a neutralizer. Either way, legendary career! The Fury hate is just tiresome and not healthy.

I know there was talk of Usyk going back down to cruiser, but I imagine now that there are lots of birdies whispering in his ear about legends and we have DD who has become better since (not to mention the controversy) and some other guys that COULD be amazing (Bakole, etc) even though we don't have enough info yet.
Personally I hope Fury is done and Usyk stays to answer big HW questions.

Overrated for beating a washed up klitschko whom he dragged through an extended training camp and still turned it into one of the most unwatchable fights in recent memory. Punch, clinch, antics, punch, clinch, more antics. Dude is literally the definition of overrated and oversized. People fell in love with him bouncing around the ring with a frenetic herky jerky feint filled offense, his offense has and will continue to be trash. His defense has been shhh, literally leans back in the same direction every time. It finally caught up to him.

Cause deontay isn’t a boxer, he doesn’t set traps, he telegraphs that straight and throws is a bunch of times in a row. The punches you don’t see hurt wayyyy more.

Because it wasn't to do with power. It was foot position. He could set himself v Wilder because the dude has no balance and doesn't know how to place this feet.

Against Usyk, Fury couldn't out position him. Usyk always had his right foot on the outside, forcing Fury to walk onto left hands.

Easy to say walk though it, but he just couldn't set himself so knew he wouldn't land while he would've got countered.

Settled for trying to jab and avoid falling in too much, played it safe because... Well he didn't have a choice. He simply couldn't walk forward because he lost foot position.

Fury would never be able to outbox Usyk, that's common sense. His only chance was to pummel him, lean on him, etc.

its because wilders power is overrated. he was fighting weak opposition to get kos. his ko% is 33 percent against top 10(ring) fighters. the days of "if wilder hits you, its goodnight" should be replaced with "if wilder hits a tomato can, its goodnight tomato can"

I mean, he did kd Fury quite a bit so I wouldn't say that overrated

does Fury even make it into the HOF with his wins against a diminished Klitschko and Wilder, who was vastly overrated? He better hope he beats AJ. It's not a given.

I couldn't understand why Fury backed away when he had good moments backing Usyk up and briefly hurt him.

He had the added weight and should've gone forward after Usyk went backwards.

I think Usyk's team studied the Steve Cunningham fight before the first Fury fight. They saw his struggles against a smallish heavyweight who was a cruiserweight.

Usyk then used his advantages being the smaller guy, making himself tough to hit, moving well.

The bigger guy doesn't have all the advantages, as you saw.

I must say, I was thinking the same thing - in both fights. Fury clearly knew what to do and how to hurt Usyk and he did it in spurts, in both fights. Why on earth didn't he continue doing what was clearly working?

After round 6 in the second fight, it became obvious to me. His body can no longer execute what his mind knows needs to be done. He no longer has the stamina to fight herky jerky for 12 rounds throwing feints mixed with hard shots. Add Usyk's incredible stamina in the mix which forces Tyson to fight at a pace that he is not comfortable at his age with a spare tyre around his waist and you get what happened in both fights. Usyk takes over in the second half and wins a decision.

Exactly! Wilder was a one hit quitter. Deontay was so predictable that Fury saw his punches coming a mile away. His only attribute was his punching power.

In addition, Wilder doesn't move his head or feet but most of all, the man wasn't even a complete or fundamentally sound fighter.

He didn't know to jab, box or throw combination punches and has always had a very low ring IQ who couldn't make any ring adjustments like Usyk did.
