Fury would never be able to outbox Usyk, that's common sense. His only chance was to pummel him, lean on him, etc.

Another razor thin decision that simply wasn't scored correctly , this cancer is killing the sport .The Fisher result was a set up for things to come ,WTF were they watching .

The recurring memory of this fight for me is Usyk's stare mentally breaking down Fury on each face to face on both occasions.

Fury tried to convince everyone he was a mental titan because he stayed in a sauna longer than Klitschko and bested weak willed country bumpkin Wilder.

As soon as the bell rang he defaulted to box Usyk at range again.
He did not impose his size on Usyk the way I thought he would.
Chisora and AJ did a better job using their size on Usyk.
Not that it matter, Usyk always makes adjustments and he just knows how to win!

The reoccurring problem, especially with grifter writers like this is seeing things through rose colored glasses. Even a round like the 9th, in which fury completely dominated, this cornball says that Usyk came out on top. I swear, just like half these Cheeto duster casuals in the comments are just hoping Usyk sees their DM’s so they can get a hard on and claim they know boxing and boxers. Comical.

Fury looked like the rabbit last night

He looked like a fat, slow, dumb "Gollum-looking" rabbit and he acted like a loser in the post fight press conference. His biggest weakness is his lack of character, which makes him arrogant and prideful. With that kind of ego he will be bound to cut corners somewhere along the way, whether that's in training, in focus, in strategy....That's why Usyk is a greater fighter than Fury ever was. Tyson Fury had all the advantages but his mind is weaker than Usyk's mind.

You're right, Fury just couldn't get in an advantageous position long enough to bully Usyk. He actually tried it immediately in the start of round 1 and it looked like he was going to use the approach he used for the 2nd and 3rd Wilder fights, but Usyk immediately shut that down, so Fury was left with trying all his tricks and trying to outbox Usyk. Fury even tried elbowing, hugging and holding later in the fighter but everything he tried was quickly shut down.
