Omar Narvaez and Adrian Hernandez are super underrated early career wins for Inoue in my opinion.

Narvaez had won a belt at 108 and defended it 16 times, moved up and won a belt at 112 and defended it 11 times, was the clear #1 at the time of the Inoue fight, and to that point his only loss was to Donaire at 118.

Hernandez was also the clear #1 at the time and was in his 2nd reign with 6 successful defenses when Inoue stopped him.

Narvaez was 39. The fact that he was the clear #1 in the weight class says more about the quality/depth of the weight class than anything else.

Someone said it earlier but Inoue doesn’t really have the contemporaries to test his greatness. That’s not his fault, but skipping over the ones who WERE there (Chocolatito, Gallo Estrada, Sor Rungvisai) and avoiding Akhmadaliev doesn’t help.
