I see this notion going around as it has been going around since Ali retired. Why do you think this era is weaker than say the Klitschko era? Or the era between Ali’s prime and Mike Tyson winning the first belt?

I think Usyk would be a handful to any of the greats of the past. Those would be fantastic bouts against the smaller but more skilled HWs of the past that would be even smaller than Usyk himself who is a small HW by todays standards.

Speculating about fighters from different eras matching up is always fun but ultimately a bit unsatisfying, mainly because we will NEVER know the outcomes. It's doubtful that any practical form of time travel will ever come along to scratch that type of itch. However, let me add this thought to the "what if" mix: the Many Worlds Theory in cosmology posits an infinite number of universes constantly branching off with every if/then causal event that happens. Mathematically, in an infinite ever-expanding number of universes, there will be ones where Ali is a contemporary of Tyson, and they have a trilogy of epic fights. And yet another universe where Joe Louis meets Usyk and they battle it out for the crown. You get the idea. So maybe we can be satisfied knowing that somewhere, out there in the limitless cosmos, our dream matchups are realities. We just can't experience them.
Also, Usyk clearly won last night. Let's move on.

He threw more but landed LESS.
Very telling as regards effective aggression and ring generalship.
          Fury was clearly out-boxed.

All the cheeseburgers that Fury knowingly chowed down did their trick as well.
They raised his trunks beltline up to his man-boobs LOL

That score was TRASH. Throw your bias aside. That was a close fight. Throw your Fury hate aside. That was a close fight.
Usyk is an all time great. Fury fought so incredibly well against a guy that takes away all of your weapons. There were rounds Fury really won that he didn't get.
100%, Commenters above you showing bias. Fury won that fight, those scorecards were wild.

Fury is exposed as TRASH for being 4 stone heavier, 5 inches taller, younger and enjoying a 7 inch reach advantage and being decisively beaten by a cruiserweight twice!
Had it wider!, clear bias. Leave it at the door. You are scoring based on your dislike, you ain't a looking glass.

Correct, Usyk couldn't figure Fury, and tried to mix it up post the half way point knowing Fury was sticking to a gameplan.
