This is it. I told everyone here The Tipsy One was scared of Usyk and for a reason. Usyk is the far better boxer. While Usyk goes down to the list of ATGs, Tipsy will be remembered beating Bum Squad twice, getting a gift against McDermott, against Wallin and against a guy with record of 0-0, 0 KOs.
He tried to duck the first fight with ridiculous demands but the Champ called out his bluff. He tried to spin the narrative but the public wasn’t buying his lies anymore. He was forced to face the Champ or lose face completely.
He tried to convince himself in the build up that the Champ was a rabbit, ugly, middleweight etc. He held a press conference where he reassured himself about winning since he was the bigger man. He claimed he was going to destroy the Champ.
He was saved by the ref and lost clearly. A humilating defeat.
In the rematch The Tipsy Plan was to play it safe and trust that the judges would favour him, like they did in the first fight. They didn’t. The Champ beat him again despite weighing 55lbs less than his Tipsy opponent.
And then The Tipsy Tears flowed on boxingscene, youtube, instagram, tiktok, facebook and all places. How can it be that The Tipsy King didn’t get the Tipsy Nod against Undisputed Champion even tho he wasn’t even knocked down??? Unfair!
Usyk has ended this era of boxing. He came, he saw and he conquered. He beat bigger guys skill for skill and has proven to be one of the best heavyweights and boxers in history. Let’s go, Champ!
The Tipsy Legacy will now be that he gave a good challenge to the best boxer in his era and complained about it. It’s still a good legacy I guess, only his fans talked him up so much that now they have enough humble pie to last through the holidays.
Merry Christmas everyone! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!Cyborg Fangerloo likes this.

Fury made exactly the mistake same AJ did in his 2nd fight with Usyk - settled for being better but stil not winning the fight. That's the problem when you don't think you *really* lost first time round. Fury just thought he needed to focus this time to win.
I thought Fury would have the guts to go for it - but turns out he didn't
Usyk had all the disadvantages in there and still won.
Uysk should honestly retire or go down in weight. People like Fury and AJ are made for him (boxers who can both be hurt and who normally win through their skill). Someone with an iron chin, who is rough + big and punches hard will be a different ball game. I think Usyk may even struggle against someone like big baby.

Fury was never going to win by the judges after he wore those high shorts and full beard. They probably would have given it to Usyk if Fury had won it. Cheats don't deserve generosity.Last edited by Roberto Vasquez; 12-22-2024, 09:49 AM.vital1983 likes this.

However, let me add this thought to the "what if" mix: the Many Worlds Theory in cosmology posits an infinite number of universes constantly branching off with every if/then causal event that happens. Mathematically, in an infinite ever-expanding number of universes, there will be ones where Ali is a contemporary of Tyson, and they have a trilogy of epic fights. And yet another universe where Joe Louis meets Usyk and they battle it out for the crown. You get the idea. So maybe we can be satisfied knowing that somewhere, out there in the limitless cosmos, our dream matchups are realities. We just can't experience them.
Also, Usyk clearly won last night. Let's move on.
The way to speculate can be fruitful from this angle in the sense that usually there is a reason why ppl feel the other eras were better. To get to the bottom of it comparing fighters of old to the current ones is just a tool of getting to the bottom why people hate the current era.
I do agree that on average the skill level of HWs seem to decline. Guys like Hrgovic, Joyce, Dubois, Makhmudov have made their way very close to the top with very low level skill sets based on strengths in other areas. All you need to do is go down to cruiserweight and see they box at a higher level. Yet, very few make it at HW. Usyk is, after all, an anomaly. This goes against the notion Ali would beat the likes of Fury, Klitschko and Zhang easily. I am simply curious why someone would call the current era weakest after watching such high skill level boxing.

I have very little respect for a drug cheat who ducked good opposition as long as he could while claiming to be an ATG out loud.
A cheat who also got gifts against the likes of Undisputed Excuse Champion ”Bum Squad” Wilder, Otto Wallin, John McDermott and Francis Ngannou.
First elite fighter he faced since Klitschko was Usyk and he is 0-2 now against him. Just like I said would happen.
Why do you like The Tipsy King?

So the man from Manchester lost. Didn’t watch the fight due to it only being offered on the deadzone. I’ll watch it on YouTube or something. I figured the extra weight wasn’t going to work well for Fury, should have come in with 10 lbs less than he did the last fight actually. Fury is making a whole lot of excuses post fight though, blaming the AI etc etc. maybe he and wilder are relatedDClefthook likes this.
