Fury once was something to see: wiggling away like a guy at a rave to his own weird soundtrack. He beat Wlad Klit by unanimous wiggle. Later, getting floored over and over by Deontay Wilder, with his wiggling days many Guinesses and lines of blow behind him, he was also something to see. Something new: an indestructible jaw you could smash repeatedly and he'd still get up.

Then, in Fury-Wilder II, we did see a special boxer. His destruction of Wilder was exciting and did more than anything to date for his mystique. Yet that Fury came and went. The old Fury had meanwhile returned to a life of farce: eating, reality TV, and pitstops to poleaxe Chisora.

Tonight which should be his last hurrah, he was always in this fight, and had moments. But he was too round--too much like a beer barrel on legs--to move, and too worried about a Round 9 plastering like last time to take enough risks. He gave a credible showing and when that wasn't enough he tried a bit of Big John Fury stuff and that didn't fly, either. He leaves us, sullenly crying foul, as Usyk remains covered in glory. And that is something to see.

They’ll do a fury vs aj fight next ala khan vs brook which did shockingly good business. Not sure which of them has what left in the tank but both are well on their way out.

Weakest heavyweight era of all time. A cruiser weight comes up and wipes out the whole division. None of these guys belong in the heavyweight great of any era except for the little man, Usyk. Wilder, Fury, Joshua all overpaid average boxers who all got exposed as soon as they fought somebody good. Awful era of heavyweight boxing.

Wow! Yes! That was an incredible fight! Tyson Fury did very well! Oleksandr Usyk is amazing! What a brilliant performance. He is the best Heavyweight in the World!

Just saw the score cards & i was of a similar mind, Fury's work rate stealing most of rounds 1-5 having it 4-1 or 3-2 but then it was all Usyk after a dominant 6th.
I'm relieved there wont be a trilogy after that, the first fight was closer & Fury, enoughs enough now fella. I have no interest in a Fury Aj cash out fight.

The Anglo-American world fell in love with the idea that this gypsy was really good and he was carried on that hype train by the fact that he's a white bald guy ('he looks like one of us' said the chaos) and the lie that he's '6'9' tall.

Anyone of Evander, Lewis or Tyson would dominate this era easily.

If Britain wants to see Usyk’s 2 sloppy seconds fight in a consolation prize match, they are alone on planet earth in that wish. Proudly USA here and I'll gladly watch Fury vs AJ, but never as a PPV event. For me it would be for the no-account base-level entertainment I might get out of a Wednesday night ProBox slobberknocker. I don't give AF who wins or what it "means" for the division (nothing and nothing). I wanna see one or both of those shopworn has-beens get KTFO. We have a real champ now. His name is Usyk.

Undisputed HW fight and not only did not one in America see but no one even knew it was happening. And before you tell me "America doesn't run boxing anymore" just ask yourself...did the UK really pay attention to this fight as well? There are only a handful of comments on several boxing websites about this fight. But you clowns want to relocate boxing away fron the US and UK and into the Middle East. You funking clowns!

I see this notion going around as it has been going around since Ali retired. Why do you think this era is weaker than say the Klitschko era? Or the era between Ali’s prime and Mike Tyson winning the first belt?

I think Usyk would be a handful to any of the greats of the past. Those would be fantastic bouts against the smaller but more skilled HWs of the past that would be even smaller than Usyk himself who is a small HW by todays standards.
