Didn't see this fight coming, Ennis is way too big for him.

They understandly do get some flak though, whether Eddie or Boot's team or Ennis himself.

The fight people would be excited bout is him and Ortiz Jr, not as much Jaron and Teofimo, not that it's a bad fight.

Teofimo was never undisputed.. what is this journalist saying. At 135, Haney was the WBC Champion, and at 140 Teofimo has only ever been WBO champ... This is just lazy reporting...

Looks like Haney would extend his vacation now that Teofimo Lopez's sights are on Ennis.
Haney's been going after Lopez ever since I can remember. YT has plenty of him confronting TL.
But then Haney wasn't happy with the offer, according to Teo. Beggars can be choosers.
So who do you think would Haney want for his comeback fight?

Teo is lying. Teo said haney turned down a 5 million dollar offer.

Offer from who? Bob Arum has never once said that he offered haney a Teo fight and he turned it down.

As far as haney next opponent. He should be targeting a ryan rematch or mario Barrios for a 3rd division title.

About what i figured..all these pretenders defending racist Teo..ignoring him ducking Haney for years now. But so focused on Boots not doing the Vergil fight despite him saying he wanting to unify 147 from the get go...once he goes up, he cant come back down. So the decision was logical and with merit yet the guy who calls wolf..Teo is somehow in the right? Yes..its exactly as i expected. Gen z type ****. Weak. Pathetic.

Email Ennis is a b!tch for this, period.
Nah..he ducked Haney for years and is afraid of the Kambosos rematch.

Haney was interim champ who got elevated by email when Sulaimán was trying to push the Franchise champ crap. Loma won the real WBC title as a vacant vs Luke Campbell. If it hadn't been for the franchise nonsense, Lopez would have been universally acclaimed as undisputed, as Loma entered the fight as the WBA, WBO, and highest level WBC champion, while Lopez had the IBF. Only an idiot would have said Haney was the real WBC champ at the time of the fight instead of Loma. And Loma said he had no idea about the franchise tag, didn't petition for it as Sulaiman claimed, and that it was made necessary to get the unification, since Sulaiman was trying to legitimize the money grab copy of the WBA super belt by sticking it to as many famous and top fighters as he could.

So, in truth, Lopez has a perfectly good historical claim to undisputed, since Haney was just a jumped up email champ. But he then lost to Kambosos, and then Haney went on to dominate Kambosos, and that's what people remember.

Haney should not demand too much money for a fight he's begging for. It doesn't sound good.
Teo Lopez is not known to be a PPV attraction. If you want the fight, be reasonable.
Anyways, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

I have no idea who Haney's team is going after for his come back. If he moves up there's Norman, Barrios, or Garcia rematch.
