Arum wouldn't risk Nakatani losing to Bam before making the Inoue fight, it doesn't make sense business wise to risk a massive in-house fight.

          Didn't crush Cortes.

Doesn't sound like you even watched it //// Junto dominated and put a beating on Cortes.

Cortes is one of the most underrated guys in the division. Most people thought he beat Estrada. He certainly outworked him.

With that said, Junto X Bam is probably the most competitive fight out there now.
Other than Inoue, I can't think of a higher level P4P matchup available now.

I didn't say he looked bad, I said he didn't crush him. Crush means get the guy outta there easily.

We agree on Junto/Bam being a great fight (unlike the poster I replied to), which is why Arum wouldn't risk it before he makes the Junto/Inoue mega fight.

Hypothetically assuming the promoters agree and fighters themselves are willing to fight, what I think is ideal possible timeline wise:
2025 Spring- Inoue-Picasso? in Vegas, Bam unification at 115?, Nakatani final fight at 118?
Summer- Inoue-MJ in Saudi, Nakatani possibly a fight with 122 contender in Japan?
Winter- Inoue-Nakatani in Tokyo (assuming Inoue wins), Bam moves up to 118?
2026 Spring- Inoue first fight at 126, Nakatani fights for one of vacant belt at 122?, Bam 2nd fight at 118.
Spend rest of 2026 all three fighting for belts, Bam moves up to 122 if finish early.
                2027 finish undisputed x3, Nakatani-Bam at
122, then Inoue vs winner for the above.

Too bad there will be other issues preventing it from happenin.

I could have sworn the WBC mandatory was Nery. No way should another WBC mandatory jump the line. MJ should be next after Goodman gets his beating. That Picasso fight might not be for undisputed.

                    Nery was the WBC mandatory.

Unfortunatelo I think the addition of Saudi effed the order of the matches. I really think MJ would've been the Vegas match and Nakatani be summer in Tokyo until the Turki agreement with Inoue was announced a month or so ago. Saudi sliding in between Vegas and Tokyo made it so that having MJ on the Saudi card made more sense, regardless of mandatory order. At this point even if it isn't mandatory for Picasso, as long as MJ doesn't refuse the fight with Inoue

I'm just surprised the promoters were willing to sacrifice Picasso already, I thought they were grooming him to be the next popular Mexican star from his looks and school and all, so was quite sure they'd wait until Inoue vacated to pick a belt up.
