I think Espinoza has his number, personally. Ramirez seems a little chinny, and his style leaves him vulnerable. You can have sublime defense and still get hit a lot if you keep your hands down vs a guy who throws that many punches. He's more skilled but has less heart and endurance, and I think he's still overlooking the champ. We'll see tomorrow though.

I think it will be like the first fight with Ramirez getting overwhelmedComment

As someone who’s rooting for Robeisy, that’s my concern. Espinoza’s work rate is non-stop. Practically the only way to beat him is by knockout. And Divino has a good chin, so it’s not easy. On the other hand, Ramirez says he’s paid close attention to his conditioning for the rematch. That component was a big factor in his loss the first time around. Robeisy was clinging on at the final bell. If his stamina is up to snuff, the Cuban stands a good chance at avenging that loss.Comment

I just re-watched the first fight. I was surprised how accurate my recollection was. Lol Espinoza’s grit, work rate and endurance impressed again. His skills weren’t bad either. The fight was extremely close, and one can see why it was a majority decision. I saw no evidence of Ramirez being chinny. He landed the bigger shots by far; but Divino landed some good shots of his own, and in greater volume. Espinoza would’ve been finished if he hadn’t been saved by the bell in the fifth. Robeisy went down in the final frame more due to exhaustion. I would say he showed some grit of his own to finish on his feet. If the Cuban comes in better conditioned this time, he won’t be overwhelmed. I didn’t see anything in their first meeting to indicate that’s likely. I’m looking forward to discussing the events of the rematch. Should be good.Comment

They just read the title, that's at what they reply. And he didn't see a close fight, it was all espinoza, and he didn't get knocked down hard in the 5th round. Don't bother.Comment

Rewatching the fight, I saw pros and cons for both men. I’m very curious to see what — if any — changes are made. I feel that Ramirez should get to work early and try to get Espinoza out of there in the first half of the fight. In their first encounter, Divino won the early rounds by being far more active. Robeisy was mostly looking to set up the big shot. He found it in the fifth, but Rafael was saved by the bell. The fight then turned the Cuban’s way, but his conditioning betrayed him late. So there’s the danger: if Robeisy presses too hard early, he might gas late. Ramirez says he’s worked hard on his stamina for the rematch. If that’s so, he might not need the KO. But I’m predicting that’s exactly how it ends, with the game Mexican finally stopped.Comment
