            1) The Nfc/Afc title games are Jan 25/26
            2) The Super Bowl is Feb 9th
            3) NFL free agency starts March 1st
            4) NCAA conference tournaments starts March 2nd - March 16th
            5) beginning of March Madness
But you stoopid mollasuckas wanted one of the most anticipated fights of two potential mega stars of the sport to happed on Feb 22nd at 4pm Saturday afternoon in Saudi Arabia. That would have been such a huge blow to American boxing which is in dire need of a fight like this to happen in Vegas. Not one American media outlet would've covered this fight. Not even ESPN because on that day ESPN 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 would have been breaking down the NFL draft and if Michigan's CB Will Johnson would be better suited for Cincinnati's cover 2 with the 6th pick or should they draft OG Will Campbell to protect Joe Burrow.......if you're not a red blooded American then you don't know WTF I'm talking about
I hate to break it to you, but Boots vs Vergil probably wouldnt even sell out the small room at MSG....................

If it is indeed guaranteed to going to happen in Vegas within prior to 2027 then its no issue. It's not that I want it to happen IN Saudi Arabia more than America. It is that I want it to HAPPEN, as a starting point which is the issue. And unfortunately, Boots' response makes me think that despite what he said on the ring he isn't going up to 154 anytime soon. Plus it officially killed any final drops of delusional hope for Crawford-Boots too because Crawford isn't going to go down to 147 ever again and Boots didn't even want to go to 154 for Ortiz.

Eddie better be clawing around to conjure up an extra 500k to pay Norman Jr right now, since the excuse for Boots rejecting the Ortiz fight because he still wanted to unify, and he's the only beltholder available right now, and I don't see a contender he can fight next spring in Vegas or Philly that will raise interest.

...Unless he is willing to take a short vacation to Japan to do a voluntary defense against Jin Sasaki on the undercard of one of the Amazon Prime Japan free boxing cards under Nakatani or something. I'm sure that will sell better than in Amuuurika given they give even less crap for Asians than Eastern Euro.

AAAhhhh finally someone I can talk to. I also really want this fight to happen. But I want it to happen because I want to see two talented fighters go at it but I also know that it is for the greater good of the sport. Even tho I know Boot's is going to take the lion's share of the blame for this (and perhaps he should) I can distinctly remember telling you guys for years that this fight would never happen ON DAZN in SAUDI. Oscar and Eddie knows that too much is at stake. Just like Shakur vs Zapeda is a fight that has to happen in Vegas not Saudi. Oscar is American PPV royalty and he knows how to help make a succesful PPV event.

I mean it's not a secret that they have to use PPVs to sell the fights right now. Just like DAZN discovered. Remember Eddie Hearn in 2018 said PPV is DEAD? Then a few years later he came out and lied and said he "never said PPV is DEAD" even though we have this new technology called video evidence. Yesterday FIGHTHYPE did an interview with Espinoza. He acknowledged that Amazon is not paying for the fights and unfortunately they have to use the PPV model to generate income. PBC is, just like DAZN was, on a case by case basis a.k.a. show and prove. If we want boxing to thrive in America then we need all the fights we can get on our soil. Having our fights outsourced to Saudi will not help. We need PBC, TR and GBP on deck ten toes down. My Xmas wish for 2025 is that Amazon and ESPN come to some sort of agreement to host all three companies on their networks. If that happens then I guarantee you they will give them a budget.
