It's hard not to feel bad for Xander and part of me wishes he would have gotten the fight, but I understand why Turki would choose Madrimov for his Riyadh card instead of Xander...

Makes even more sense why Turki would set up that fight instead of the Xander vs Virgil....

Bohachuk must be steaming - huge motivation for him seeing as he's being blatantly overlooked
Absa freaking loutly, my point exactly. Sergii gonna beat Madrivdov in two weeks. Questions are, will he get robbed again like vs Virgil? Why would Virgil’s team want an opponent who may have 2 consecutive losses, Bud & Sergii? Why didn’t Ortiz Sr mention the other 3 fighters who were discussed to face Virgil after the fact that Xander accepted? Why isn’t Sergii offered a rematch with Virgil after clearly beating his azz? Ortiz team = Fake, weak, cowardly.

What I like about this article are the quotes from fighters - plain talking, truth telling, no BS. At least we know what is actually happening, no confusion. We may like it or not, we may argue about it, but at least we know the deal. It is so refreshing compared to the usual mambo jumbo bs stories, half truths and outright lies that we are constantly served by prima donas and scaredy cats not willing to risk losing a fight against a dangerous opponent.

Yup, he thought he had a big fight lined up and just like that it went away. He is young and there will be other opportunities.

There are a lot of arguments and conspiracy theories here about Madrimov, Ortiz, Bohachuk - who is avoiding, disrespecting, how long between the fights etc etc. However, the simplest explanation is most often the correct one.

Turki is offering life changing money and an opportunity for fame and fortune to these guys. They have been training forever to get an opportunity like this, to make some money, to support their families and to be known for what they do. Two years ago, Madrimov and Bohachuk were fighting in obscurity. Ortiz was somewhat known to boxing hard core fans as an up and coming prospect. Now everybody is talking about them and they are being paid more in one fight then in all of their previous fights put together. They get to feature on amazing stacked fight cards never before seen in boxing. They are saying "yes" put me in. I would say the same thing "yes" and so would 90% of posters here if they were in their shoes. It is their job. It is why they get up in the morning.

It is not really difficult to understand. They will continue to say "yes" as long as Turki is putting on the shows and offering good money. This is their job.

I have left out Boots for obvious reasons. Him and his dad obviously have a different agenda going and finally everybody is starting to see through their stories and half truths that can no longer be believed by anyone with half a brain.

I can't imagine Madrimov telling himself, "I should decline fighting Virgil because Bohachuk should've have been given the rematch first. I shouldn't hurt his feelings".

Or Virgil telling Turki, "Xander offered to fight me first and many people feel I lost to Bohachuk. I won't fight Madrimov on your big Riyadh event, It isn't fair to the others...."
