Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Jnr: Devin Haney ignored 'good, reasonable' offer

It's sad, Lopez has not materialized into the star attraction we thought he was. He brings nothing to the table, has not fought a good fight to his standards in almost 3 years. Now times boxers can experience a career resurgence but not fighting the competition this clown does. I think his best bet is to make as much money as he can, because when he slips, his attitude, the things he has said, the promoters he has alienated, it's all going to come back to end his career prematurely if he doesn't get his sh/t together, and make the most of his prime.Comment

I mean, Devin has his own promotional company and he isn't offering a dime. He wouldn't even bid on his own fight's purse bid against Martin, but complained that Eddie Hearn didn't bid a cent for that fight.
If the offer is fair, what difference does it make who it's from?? The fact that there is a fair offer from someone to make the fight happen is all that should matter in my opinion. I'd like to see them fight each other as I believe Haney would win a close but somewhat exciting fight. Both men have been down, so I know they can be hurt, but Devin showed tremendous courage in getting back up after some crushing shots from Ryan and managed to finish the fight on his feet.
What's the hold up, "Let's get it on!!!" I say...Comment
