There's no logical reason to move up to 154 and fight Vergil Ortiz in his 1st fight at the weight, except the payday. But that's not wise. If he moves up, it should be because his body is filling out naturally. Forget all the comments about not having quality opponents at 147. I bet as soon as he moved up, guys are going to suddenly move to 147 to try to get in that title mix

Not even. That's disrespectful to berto. This guy never won a belt in the ring nor has he fought anyone decent.

Email champ starting to have cold feet or just 'miscommunication' ?

154 is where all the fun is not 147.

And this is why it's not news until they've both signed contracts. With Boots' history of ducking big fights, this comes as no surprise to me. Maybe they'll still get it over the finish line, but it's amazing how many people don't want to call a duck a duck.

I hope this isn't true because Boots is starting to look like a real contender. Fighting Ortiz would have been great for his career because for the first time it would have been a true war. Boots would fight a guy that would come to fight him back and fight him hard with the power to seriously hurt him. It this is true then, Boots would fit the mantra of today's fighters which are guys that are afraid to lose their "0". Boots being an email champ doesn't help this argument at all. Please tell us that this is a lie.

I don't get it, Boots would stop Madrimov at 154 and beat Janibek at 160, at least according to Breadman.

Hahahhahahaha man most of you clowns sou d stooped as shyte. I told you idiots this fight only happens in the Vegas desert not the Saudi one. Just like I told you idiots Zapeda would not fight Shakur in Saudi that is an Ameri an fight in Vegas. Oscar is American PPV royalty and he knows what fights and where makes Golden boy successful. He will not allow Floyd Schofield to fight Shakur in Saudi this early in his career. You guys are lovers for believing all that BS that Eddie Hearn was selling you. But then again you believed him when he told you PPV IS DEAD! HAHAHAHAHAHA

It's not the fighters, it's 95% management, promoters looking at their bottom $$$ whom are afraid and determine what fights to take, fighters just fight who is put in front of them.....except Canelo who makes his own
