All it takes is some "want to" .

Also, keep in mind Shakur himself coming from a hand injury and didnt looked so great on his last performances ,add the fact he's a current champion and a seasoned proven fighter unlike Zepeda so we cant really compare their fanbase even adding the fact Camaron Zepeda is Mexican and you know how much they root for their fighters independently of their actual popularity.

I believe Zepeda really got injured just as much I believed Stevenson of his. Hand/wrists injuries are the most common of all tbh.
Forgive me for not counting Tevins fights against guys with records like 7-8-1 after his three year layoff. How silly of me. That really changes my opinion on a so-called number #1 contender fighting him.

Shakur fought a real 35'er, in his prime and he didnt get dropped nor go life and death. And he only fought him because people like Zepeda dont want to fight. You say he didnt look so great, hell if Zepeda had a night like that he'd be celebrating lol.

Lastly "oh you cant compare shakur to Zepeda he's a seasoned proven fighter" lol...you talk down on Shakurs fanbase, meanwhile you defending a guy with zero fans. And since the Mexican fanbase is so great and root for fighters independently of their popularity then why are you bringing up Zepeda being unproven as an excuse for his lack of a fanbase? You just said mexican fans dont care about popularity so why is he still fighting in ballrooms and local casinos?

The truth is hand injury or not, there was no way Zepeda was going to fight Shakur coming off that performance. And when he heals he'll need a "tune up", but the truth is his whole career has been tune ups. Zepeda is number one in four different organizations and hasnt expressed interest in fighting for any of the belts. He and his team knows he is food at the elite level. And you know it too. People like you love fights being delayed, postponed, avoided, etc because thats when you can talk the most. You love speaking in hypothetical. IF Zepeda ever get in the ring with Shakur though you who the A-side will be, You know who will bring the fans, and you know what the outcome will be.

It likely be because Zepeda vs Stevenson was planned to be an undercard bout in Saudi Arabia, with different fighters headlining the main event of February 22.

They have to headline a bout by Matchroom without Turki's involvement which is unlikely since the promoters and fighters are aware they be better paid if they fought in Riyadh Season. Worse part is that they could be waiting months and there could be a different reason of why Zepeda or Stevenson wouldn't fight in between that waiting period. Such as a different high paying bout or attain a title shot against Berinchyk (WBO).
I read somewhere that Keyshawn Davis is fighting Berinchyk next.

Wait, whether the hand injury is legit or not being aside for a moment, why are some people talking as if Zepeda is still an upcoming youngster while Shakur is a seasoned veteran or something?
Zepeda is 28 yrs old, been pro for 9 years (since November 2015), and has 32 fights as a pro.
Shakur is 27 yrs old, been pro for 7.5 years (since April 2017), and has 22 fights as a pro.
So Zepeda is older, been pro longer, and has more fights as a pro. Like him or not, Shakur is "more proven" than Zepeda only because he's actually fought in title fights multiple times and won them but Zepeda isn't exactly a young prospect.

It really looks like Tank Wahid want zero part of Shakur Stevenson. Plenty of time and opportunities to make the fight happen. Both have been available for each other, yet nothing is being done about it from A-side Davis. What a huge joke this sport is.

I mostly agree but I wouldn’t say Shakur is making quite the push for this fight , right. ???
Turki has already said he’d pony up the coin for it
If he wanted as bad as he says , well this be the time to scream from the top

They always have an excuse on hand.

They just sling bs on us.

Zepeda is just looking to catch a break.

He pinky promises to return soon.

I'm a medical expert. They call me Dr. Love. It appears that Zepeda is suffering from a broken heart that he was stricken with in the Tevin Farmer fight.
