It definitely wasn't for lack of trying. Gvozdyk got hit with everything but the kitchen sink.

You think Morrell can stand up to that?

Morrell needs more fights with Kalajdzic level opponents before even thinking of competing with the levels of ancient Gvozdyk or the Monster Benavidez. He'll soon find out.
Kalajdzic NOW is a better boxer than Gvozdyk NOW.

We'll find out. I hope he's smart enough not to.

Benavidez will win and bring attention to the fact that Canelo ducks these type of opponents. Both were his mandatories but Canelo only fights mandatories when they are hopeless.

Not only you don't know $h1t about fighters, and didn’t watch Morrell Jr last fight. He hurt the guy a couple of times and the two reason he finish the fight one his defensive approach, and second Morrell Jr was too desperate for the ko, and using a triangle theory to predict the outcome of a fight is dumb. We should see.
ps. I couldn't watch Morrell Jr last fight live, I did watch a replay.

The fight would have never been made, period. He said he would never fight another mexican, referring to benavidez, you know this, I know this, the whole world knows this, yet you still excusing the guy.

Morrell wasn’t impressive; he ate some good shots. But Benavidez wasn’t imparting confidence in his last fight either. I’ve seen Benny go down from a jab. I would agree that Benavidez should be the favorite going in, but not by much. This is indeed a toss up fight. Watch the odds as the fight approaches. It’ll be practically even money.

Pretty much my thoughts. I don’t know how anyone can make such a prediction. Morrell hasn’t faced anyone on Benavidez’s level. I saw a short video this morning on Facebook where Juan Manuel Márquez talked about this matchup. He was very enthusiastic about the fight. And although JMM slightly favored Benavidez (as do I), he said, “But this is why they make the fights.” — essentially meaning, we’ll know when we see it.

Getting an opp by giving the face of boxing a blow job, coming in a heavy dog and then lose too, Fck Mungia and Berlanga. When someone disrespects you, you break his f'ing face not run like a biaatch from Benavidez like Canelo.

I know Benavidez is a consummate professional and very experienced, and intelligent. But something is making me wonder if he's underestimating the task of David Morrell, ever so slightly. Like, he knows Morrell is tough and skilled, but does he really understand that Morrell put a dude in a coma? Does he understand that Morrell can knock a man's fu...king brains out? His defense has to be completely worked on and improved. None of that walking his man down and blocking with a high guard. Morrell can punch right through a man's guard. Head and waist movement has to be super on point, as well as timing and accuracy. No wild swinging, punches have to be placed. Footwork must be improved and no squaring up. Balance is key
