Mix of both. Predetermined rules and obligations, yes (probably a no KO clause). That's rigging. No doubt both guys went in knowing they'd both get hit, but pen to paper said how hard, not their fists. It was an exhibition at best. A grift at worst.

No, those that think so are still bitter from being fooled into thinking Tyson had any chance of winning.

Paul obviously held back and refrained from hurting Tyson. However that isn't quite the same as rigging a fight. There was no need to rig because Tyson never had a chance of beating Paul in 2024.

Real. I don't know if Jake was told not to finish Tyson off or he just decided he didn't want to hurt him more than he had to, or he knew he had the fight won already and just decided to coast to the end of the fight. It might be all of those reasons combined. By the way, did anyone notice how PO'd Tyson looked at the end of every round. He was angry that Jake was touching him up and that he was unable to mount much of an offense.

Roy Jones VS Tyson was rigged so that neither guy was supposed to hurt the other too much. Afterall, does everyone forget how Tyson was throwing so many body shots, acting like he was swinging for the fences, and completely neglecting Roy's head whenever Roy was bothered and was a sitting duck. RJJ also looked fat as a whale and out of shape and had been KO'd countless times by much smaller and mediocre fighters than Tyson..., although Tyson was a shell himself too. Roy was a fat, out of shape, old light-heavyweight, fighting at heavyweight.
