Will recheck, but still feels kind of absurd that Wilder was willing to train under an opponent he supposedly had beaten. Odd thing is that these trainers did manage to drill improvements and skills onto these pro boxers.

So it makes me curious if Haney will be a more well rounded fighter that will cover his flaws.

To become a trainer you don't need to compete at the pro level to be a great one, but a lot that were former fighters seem to be good coaches that actually drill skills on these fighters. Now in days you see trainers that focus primarily in athletic performance and repeatedly do the same basic fundamentals. Then you see coaches like Rudy Hernandez, Derrick James, Freddie Roach, Buddy McGirt and Robert Garcia as examples.

First time Haney fought bigger opponent he got chinned , he's a good fighter so let's see.

That MFer cheated. He was juiced to the gills. So that fight doesn’t count. Ryan had both roids and SARMS in his system at the time which gave him an unfair advantage.
