Comments Thread For: The only thing the Conor Benn case proves is that boxing is ill-equipped to deal with positive tests

Whether or not Conor Benn knowingly took clomiphene, a hormone and metabolic modulator which can increase testosterone levels, is by now a secondary concern to the mind-boggling timeline of events that followed its discovery in his system.

The entirety of the sport is corrupt. Which includes testing bodies. They are selective in who they want to expose. It's almost on a random basis. One or two exposures every year out of hundreds of fighters is proof they have no credibility. People should expect at least 10 - 15 positive tests a year. AT LEAST... 80% - 90% can't be all clean.

He has a name, big promotional company that are backing him because if he fights there is a substantial upside. Otherwise he would had been suspended like that Dominican champ that lost his title and others that have been suspended because they don't have a powerful team behind them.

If the BBBOC allow him his licence back then this would be a huge clampdown on their rules , as everyone 'sane' knows they operate on a 'strict labially' regarding failed tests , meaning you have to tell them why or at least come up with a reason why illegal substances were found inside your body . Benn on this matter has always refused to 'engage' with the board .If he had and come up with something that might have lead to the source he would have been free to have his licence back, after two years , if not , he knew the ban would be four years ....I think he knew it would be four years!

Let's hope Turki buys or splits boxing with his own league /ufc model & sorts this out along with everything & everyone ruining the sport.

You know what, i loved the 80s 90s era & looking back it looks like many were juiced to the gills. I say let them juice, all the substances are natural & of this earth.

They don’t have a choice but to give him his license back because Conor Benn won his hearing with them you MORON!!!!!!!

The only way they can deny him his license if they appeal the decision of the hearing that they lost and they’ve got 21 days to do so.

How many times are you going to repeat that he has “refused to engage with the board” when he has had not one but TWO hearings with them !!!!!!????

What you are saying is objectively and factually the opposite to reality.
