I seriously want to know where all this money coming from. I know some of these fights are not generating profits to keep paying for these crazy purses. Canelo, AJ, Inoue and Ryan Garcia I get it but there's no way these other fighters are selling enough for these fighters to keep getting 3-5 mil to fight bums.

Point of clarification your Honor?? Canelo sell very well in North America yes. AJ SOLD well in the UK because that's all they had. Inoue can sell in Japan and that region of the world as well. Ryan has not proven he can sell. Tank vs Ryan did 1.4 million and Tank vs Haney did 200k. That means (according to the logic of boxingscene posters) Tank's fans accounted for 1.2 milly and Ryan's fans were 200k. So they only true successful PPV fighters in the US are of late are Canelo, Tank, Spence and Wilder. Ryan is 5th on that list.

Seems like something is up with them. There's not many alternatives to espn. If they go with Amazon Prime they do not give budgets for boxing so their budget will shrink. Daxn is at the end does not have any kind of budget really either and as an app there pretty much dying. So the sport is in big trouble. But as I said that's good. I want the boxing promotion companies to lose their contracts so that Fighters have to fight tough fights to make the big bucks. If boxers continue to fight bums for Millions the sport is in deep trouble

True but my hope is that Amazon WILL give a budget if they get TR and GBP on with PBC. If they do then they will have a monopoly on American boxing and tha should incentivize them to fund the shyte out of the sport. hopefully!!!

The problem is hardly anyone watches the sport on television anymore. Online streaming is the future of boxing.

They don’t have to say it but ESPN has lost money on Top Rank. Both its viewership and audience has declined.

Which is why they have push its time slot very late into the wee hours of early Sunday mornings because of the size of its demographics are very small.
