My wish is that the Saudis move on for good. The US / UK boxing scene was doing just fine before 2018 and just needed a few torques of the wrench. Eddie Hearn should 'cut bait' while he still can and go salvage what's left of his UK business. America is not going to ever welcome him with open arms. Hearn, Warren and Shalom should link up as one entity and the Americans should do the same. Then when there are huge fights to do across the pond they should take place in Vegas and London. The UK and N. America will always be the exclusive home to boxing and that aint EVA EVA EVA EVA EVA gonna change!!!! BEE-LEE-DAT-JACK!

I have been asking this question for over a year now and have never received an answer. What big fights has Turki-boy blessed us (Americans) with? What are these so called classics that he has paid for that the American promoters couldn't? The Bud vs Madrimov show in LA that lost 10 milly? Noooooo! Fury vs Usyk? Noooooo! The MR vs Queens 5x5? Nooooo! The AJ vs Francis show? Nooooo! Those were all shows that made sense to do in Saudi and not America. Bud never fought a big fight outside of Nebraska other than the Spence fight in Vegas so it was no surprise that it would fail in LA. Fury vs Usyk in Saudi is no different than AJ vs Klitschko in London. Those fight make way more dollars and cents....I mean sense, over in the UK than they do in the US. So someone please tell me what is Turki-boy doing that is so spectacular that would make the American audience take notice?Comment

Agghhhhh me ol' hombre Senor Mero. My man when did you ever deduce from anything I've ever posted on this site that I'm concerned with someone's money? What I am concerned about is the advancement and success of the sport of boxing in America. I wish nothing but the best for the Royal families from England to Riyadh but please just keep your boxing business on that side of the Atlantic. And if you knew as much about boxing as you claim you do then you'd know that the A side (fighter with more popularity and potential to generate greater amounts of revenue) has always had an advantage over the B side ( lesser known fighter with limited marketability to generate income). That has been the business model of boxing since its inception more than a century ago. Boxing is not an organized sport like the NFL or NBA but it is a fragmented one where every single fight is like a collective bargaining agreement of the other major sports that is negotiated the players and owners. That will never change unless the sport ultimately coalesces into one entity. I know how you can start that. If PBC TR and GBP came un...............Comment

and don't think I didn't see that "your type"...I just don't feel like it tonight because the NBA is on and I'm preoccupied because I got some heavy bets tonight my man!! Oh yeah boxing is going to have to take a back seat when college and pro football and basketball starts from Sept to June.Comment

Got dammit Senor Mero now you done got me all hyped up and shyte! Listen mane, no matter how bad others wanted to come and conduct a hostile takeover of boxing in "Murica it ain't happenin!!! If Turki wants to bankroll Beterbiev vs Bivol in Saudi then he should because that fight between tow Russians was never going to sell in America anyway. Fury vs Usyk for HW undisputed will only do 25k PPV buys if done in Vegas. Wilder vs AJ for HW undisputed (when they were both relevant) would've done 2 million PPV buys in Vegas. I don't care how many riches there are in Saudi Arabia it pales in comparison to the riches of Los Estados Unidos de America! 2024 Saudi Arabia GD=2.5 trillion. 2024 USA GDP=30 trillion. Please stop disrespecting America by saying there is more money of any kind over there than it is here. The Saudis are like the rappers of rich people. They drive drop top 'Rarris' and and it rain on air head skrippers but America has 90 year old billionaires that has owned one suit and one pair of shoes since 1980. STOP!!Comment

I don't hate the Saudis I actually respect them very much They used the fact that they are the world's gas station and they bullied there way onto the world's economic conversation when others didn't want them there. I just wish they would stay in their lane when it comes to sports. They are doing more harm than good to the sport of boxing which they don't care about but if you are in the US or UK then you care very much about it because this is the sport we love to death!Comment

The money for boxing will always be in the US because this where the majority of the best fighters are born and raised. And a lot of theother great fighters from around the world come here to train and ultimately bring their families over and live the rest of their lives. LenOX Lewis, Manny Pacman, Triple G. I could go on and on but you get it.Comment
