Do the Akhmadaliev fight in the US.

As much as I'd love to see Inoue fight in person , him fighting in the U.S. makes zero sense to me.

If he's going to fight in the U.S. they should start a huge marketing campaign for him as early as possible. When people in the U.S. get exposed to him , they've got to become fans. What's not to like ?

A pound note in the UK , a reference to a few dollars in Australia.

Inoue has already fought in the US three times (Nieves, Moloney, Dasmarinas) and Scotland (Rodriguez) once. It's smart for him to come back here and continue to build his profile. Especially if he learns good English at some point, he'll have money making opportunities in the English speaking world for many years after his career ends. Akhmadaliev is not a star but he's known among boxing fans and a fight with Inoue should sell in Vegas. He has fought 12 of his 13 career fights in the US, won unified world titles, and has been in the ring with three other world titlists (Danny Roman, Ryosuke Iwasa, Marlon Tapales).

But the Nakatani fight specifically is a domestic megafight. Probably the biggest fight in the history of Japan. So they should absolutely cash those checks and do that one at Tokyo Dome.

When he finally moves up to featherweight, the big fights there are in the US and UK. Angelo Leo, Nick Ball, Stephen Fulton/Brandon Figueroa rematch winner, Rey Vargas, Rafael Espinoza/Robeisy Ramirez rematch winner, etc.

Nice to see Inoue being active, but this Xmas gift tastes the same thing as when my Gran-Ma gave me the same pair of sox at each Xmas ... Nice...

The problem is that this "Mexican fighter" in Vegas that you are asking for is David "I've yet to fight a top 10 dude in 122 in my career and the opponent I defeated is Azat Hovhannisyan coming off a KO loss" Picasso. Personal like or dislike of MJ's inactivity and whining aside, his accomplishments as a boxer is significantly above that of Picasso.

MJ is a former Olympics medalist, defeated a legit beltholder to win two belts at 122, and has fights and wins against top 10 guys. The only thing Picasso has over him is...I dunno, looks if you like that type of face?

He's Mexican, which means he's suddenly going to expose Inoue

As sad it is and pray to whatever divine entity you believe in that such nightmare won't come true, but unfortunately if Inoue actually chooses to fight Picasso over MJ in April barring the latter suddenly dying or something, he will indeed "expose" Inoue in that he is willing to cherry pick a Mexican tomato can over a former 122 beltholder in his 20s.

"Inoue vs Goodman betting preview. Bookmakers made Naoya Inoue a massive favorite against Sam Goodman when they meet in their bout on Tuesday 24th December 2024 at Ariake Arena, Tokyo, Japan. He is currently 1/20 (-2000) to win the bout outright, while you can get 8/1 (+800) on Sam Goodman if you fancy the massive upset ..."
