When Hrgovic became the IBF mandatory, the WBA mandatory was next in rotation which is why Usyk fought Dubois. Then after that was the big unification which trumps mandatory, or rather yet, delays it until the next fight. Since Usyk is contractually obligated to fight Tyson again he had to drop the IBF belt.

Stopped reading after their complaints about heavyweight. Hrgovic was mandatory after he got the decision over Zhang. Dubois beat Miller then he beat the guy who was already the damn mandatory. That's more than enough.

Hrgovic got handed a gift in that Zhang fight and defeated nobody else of worth in his entire career. Zhang vs Hrgovic shouldn't have been a final eliminator to begin with, Zhang's best wins all came after that fight and not before it. Before that fight he literally nearly died because he was so out of shape trying to fight Jerry freaking Forrest. Meanwhile, DuBois got knocked out by a jab when he fought Usyk just last year.

They have stripped the reigning lineal/TBRB/Ring champion for not fighting a bum three times in recent memory (Opetaia, Usyk, Canelo) and they're about to do it again (Beterbiev).

They are literally going as far out of their way as they can to make sure that their belt is not with the fighter considered by everyone else in the entire world to be the legitimate champion of their division.

Why even have a belt at all if you're not going to give it to the best fighter?
