For all intents and purposes, yeah.

Dropping out with injury the way he did really ****ed PBC's plans... resulting in Tim losing and not being able to do Tszyu-Spence.

Al isn't putting him in with another name and risking blowing that event as well, and we know Thurman doesn't get off the couch for tuneups/mid-level fights.

Thurman really ****ed himself turning down the the Ugas fight.

Yes, Thurman had injuries/surgeries after the Garcia fight, but it was also clear that even if he didn't have those surgeries/injuries that he didn't want the Spence fight.

For all the talk he did, he did not dare to be great.
Personally, Mikey Garcia is my biggest disappointment from my generation, but that’s mostly because I feel he screwed his own career via mismanagement and inactivity without the excuse of all the recurrent injury problems Thurman had. Still, Keith Thurman is my close second, and it’s a shame he didn’t dare to be great. I would have loved to have seen a prime OneTime against an aging Floyd. I’m not saying he would have necessarily won, but given how a B+ level brawler like Maidana fared in his first fight with an old Floyd, I think it would have at least made for some great entertainment and uncertainty as the fight progressed, considering how much better prime OneTime was than Maidana.

I’d like to see him back. He can’t wait much longer.

I don't care if Thurman fights again, but I sure don't want to see him commentate another card. He sounded like he was auditioning for a Broadway play.

Wrong. When it was a ppv/legacy fight it was Spence who ducked.

Thurman didn't want to fight him when he was not as big a name and before spence was champ, back then Thurman was champ, he fought Porter and Garcia 2 big wins beat them before Spence.

When Spence became champ he avoided Thurman claimed he didn't like he never gave him a shot.

Difference is Thurman didn't fight someone who was never a chamo or big name at that point to fight other big names like Garcia and Porter not like he didn't fight him to go fight journehman at that point

When Spence became champ, he ducked Thurman, at that point Spence is ducking a ex unified champ and big name in Thurman and someone who he has beef with or doesn't like

Fast forward. Spence doesn't want to fight Thurman and also ducks Bud for years. Bud talks fall through. Then WBC says Thurman is your mandatory. Still he makes no mention of wanting it. Then everyone think Spence Thurman is next and he's mando. I think i was the only one online picking Thurman. Fight never happened because Spence didn't want to fight Thurman, that is what actually finally made the Bud fight, it was either go back and accept Bud terms or be forced fight Thurman. So instead of fighting Thurman and getting whooped, he decided might as well go back to the table and fight Bud cause i rather get beat pillar to post by Bud than Thurman and that is what happened. That being said im not here saying Thurman is some big threat anymore.

Spence is not much more active than Thurman. Last 5 years they've barely fought. Washed vs Washed. But if it does happen Thurman will win now like he would have won years ago.

Also because he risks losing them... he went very close to being knocked out by Josesito Lopez.

                  1000000%

This all started when Floyd said he wasn't going to fight Thurman and that Thurman should fight Spence, then a prospect Floyd was close with, if he wanted a shot. Which was typical Mayweather BS when asked about fighting a live body.

Floyd had Spence was calling out Thurman in 2015 when he was fighting the likes of Chris van Heerden on FS1. And then acted like he was disrespect when Thurman ignored him because Keith was chasing paydays with guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Amir Khan. In reality, Spence was way down the food chain.

Spence used that as an excuse - the only reason he fought Crawford was because Haymon was doing everything he could to force Spence-Thurman. Once Thurman became the mandatory and Spence was going to have to fight Keith, vacate, or unify.... suddenly Spence and Crawford came to terms and made the fight.

Exactly this. Finally someone else sees it the way it is. I was saying this all along. When Bud fight was made i only saw myself mentioning the fact Thurman Spence was basically rumoured to be close but Spence did not want it, this is what finally forced him to accept going back to bid table amd accepting terms, because once those Bud talks fell through initially he had the pressure from Al Haymon to make Spence fight and the WBC pressute to make it on top of that, which is what made him go back to Bud with less demands and split.

I still think Thurmans also been a disappointment with his inactivity but it's funny people do not rip Spence for his inactivity when it is nearly just as bad
