That is a far cry from insulting the guy. And as far as being submissive, I guess then Tim is submissive to PBC for less money? That argument doesn't make sense in terms of business. I know Tim would have made millions more on a Saudi card. I think it was more he didn't feel ready for Bud, rather than "being his own man".

Now that fight is gone. Tim made fun of the dude who offered him the biggest fight he could make for millions more than he had ever seen, for what reason I don't know.

But no one should really think for a second that Tim turned down Turki and Crawford out of "being his own man". Bud would have stopped him, Tim's style is taylor made for Bud. Last night showed that Tim has no plan other than hit the other guy harder. Bud would have eaten him up.

Not sure why you are so fixated on "Turki is trying to own people". So are the other promoters trying to own people for less money?

From the very beginning Tim went out there like he was King Kong and was going to just walk through everything that Murtazaliev was going to throw. Reckless is right , add dumb to it. I don't know if he was trying to show off for Kostya but whatever it was ended up being 100% the wrong approach. He's got a deep hole to climb out off. He would probably benefit from working with some new people as well. I don't know what his corner was telling him or what their gameplan was before the fight but it had to be smarter than what he ended up doing in the ring. Murtazaliev looked huge in the ring , I don't think that he's going to be at 154 too much longer , it's going to be interesting to see who wants to fight him next.

This is completely true! Tim fell for that same trap that a lot of other boxers do when their name is hot. It's called ARROGANCE. I like Tim a lot but he showed the Ruskie zero respect going in. Reminds me when Julian Williams showed Jeison Rosario ZERO respect and then turned around and got whooped. We can pull up multiple examples of that and it never fells. Also the tough guy routine only goes so far in boxing. I say it time and time again that boxers need to stop listening to that BS and learn D#fence! Move your head and feet because sooner or later someone is going to knock that tough guy mentality out of you. Three recent examples are Rayo vs Ptibull...Laim Paro vs Subriel and Puello vs Gary Antuane Russell. This is prizefighting so use all the tools in your tool box to win and get to the next "Bag".

Murtazaliev kinda seemed like another version of Deontay Wilder or Subriel Matias. Yes they throw hard boxes but they are wild and can be out boxed. Tim had the wrong game plan from the jump. His team needs fired.

Is he "worshipping at the feet" of Haymon? Do you think Haymon doesn't get pissed off at fighters who turn him down, or Arum, or any other promoter?

Why would you turn Turki down for a one fight deal and lose millions? What point are you making? To then go sign for alot less money against a lesser opponent?

How is getting paid millions to win a belt in a huge fight that is great for your career "worshipping at the feet" of anyone?

Tim didn't want to get stopped by Bud so he turned it down. He wasn't making some statement on not submitting.

He punches too wild. He's not that all round boxer. He will get exposed by a more polish boxer. Tim was never that good. This is Jeff Lacey, Wilder, 2.0. Is he better functionally than wilder ? Of course but he gets too wild in there. He's not high level.

I agree with you that he is not some
late blooming elite talent. I agree that against more skilled and versatile opponent he will struggle. I said before that Bud would dispatch of him comfortably, and others would too. I find the Wilder comparison harsh though

Amazed at the apologists for Tszyu. Guy has always looked like a poor man’s Ricky Hatton. And he got attention cuz of his last name and Nationalism. His big wins were against ok, not great contenders. This wasn’t some big upset.

We just went thru a multi year entertaining 154 undisputed run where Jermell came out on top. Now we're back at it. Tim took the challenge and lost now Murat is firmly in the race with the IBF. Fundora vs Spence for the WBC and WBO. Bud vs ..... for the WBA. Top contenders : Errickson Lubin, Virgil Ortiz, Brian Mendoza, Jesus Ramos, Madrimov, Bohachuck and don't count Tszyu out yet. Up and comers like Zander Zayas, Charles Conwell and Yoenis Tellez. Don't forget old junkyard dogs like Jarrett Hurd still has plenty of fight in him to make entertaining fights. Not to mention KING LION is on his way back to reclaim the throne. So yea I agree....Thank you Al Haymon for setting up another very exiting undisputed run at 154!!
